Even Jay and Aliona were made to do that stupid selfie and crowd high fiving nonsense in their QS. (I refuse to believe it was Aliona's idea)
If Anita has to faff around with a feather duster it will just remind me of Fern Britton at the start of her salsa and nobody wants that.

Anita is a much better dancer than Peter and Georgia though. Do you mean because of the judges constantly underscoring her?

Although I have liked ~Anita's performances so far feel that Gleb does not concentrate on the footwork much - (regardless of what Len said this week) no hiding place with jive will be interesting to see how she fairs.
Will be interesting to see how Helen fairs with rumba and if she gets the right hip action |

Peter and Georgia are both better dancers than Anita - I don't think she's being undermarked and the scores are about right.
Her last two dances especially have been undermarked, the tango with 'Sweet Deposition' was worthy of 9's across the board! |

I think Craig was fair in his assessment of Anita's last dance.

think jay and aliona will top board
And Kellie has a very easy scoring dance, so she should by all means be able to pull in the lead (will be interesting to see Blackpool, as she has had most of the flashy dances and if the luck of the draw is against her then she could be in trouble). This is a week for her to get some easy audience votes for the rest of the series. Quote:
unlike some do not think Peter will and if judges marking as they have others do not think Helen will get more than 8 or 9 with her hip action

Sorry but this is absolute rubbish.
Her last two dances especially have been undermarked, the tango with 'Sweet Deposition' was worthy of 9's across the board! I don't think her waltz deserved extra marks .. her feet looked wrong some of the time and her leg extension .. on that move they keep showing (showed it on ITT tonight) was pretty poor. Her dress did hide a lot of it though. Also the armography was not clean. I'm not saying it wasn't good .. it was and it got good scores. I think the call for better scores has a lot to do with the Gleb effect .. for the man himself and his choreography. |

That's subjective though.

only dance i will be worried about for blackpool is a rumba as it is so static or a salsa would be quite happy for a samba or vw as they move round the floor and think she will get the samba movement judging by her leg action inn other dances

Harry did top the leaderboard in the same week with an AT, but he was cool and collected and looked way more mature then Jay. He might come across like a schoolboy, which is not what you want in an AT.

Last year it was in week 8.That throws a spanner in my predictions (and everything I've said in the last few weeks, lol). Also probably means I won't get to watch it live, as I am away with my mother on a day trip that weekend Ah well, can always tape it................usually that ends with my favourite getting eliminated and me never watching the tape

Okay as soon as I saw that Jay had the AT and saw the song , I had tunnel vision
![]() ![]() On to the other dancers. Now I see why Gleb didnt want to tell Anita their jive song on sunday....this is a good one and the pros danced to that song in the past; Excited to see this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2Epp3CeA1A This is such a good song for a Jive. Aww watching that again made miss our old pros ![]() Carol VW song is not bad imo; One of my favorite songs. I like it for an AS Everyone has great songs this week imo shocking maybe the BBC saw the complaints .Once again YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS to Jay's song and dance ![]() ![]() (not that I miss James, of course )

A lot of us think that jay, Helen or kellie on here are gonna be at the top of the leaderboard, we can't underestimate georgia though as she's on really good current form. Nobody predicted she'd be at the top of the leaderboard here where as I saw it as a possibility.

Jay and Aliona's song is amazing. Really pleased with it, I can only imagine how good this is going to be.
Helen got lucky with her song. Great song! Love Anita's song but it's a little faster than your average jive. Excited to see it!! |

Really looking forward to the show - everybody bar Carol has dances that suit them and the music choices are mostly good too. Excited to see all of them!! (Well, again, except for Carol, but, who knows, Pasha has done exceptionally well with the coreography for her, so, we'll see😀 )

It'll suit her right down to the ground, some of us here think she'll be in the bottom two so I hope she proves them wrong.
