Anandtech indepth iPhone 6s review

Suffice to say, they really seem to like the phone.

For those not wanting to read the whole review (which is 15 pages long), here is the tl;dr bit at the end of the conclusion page,

There are arguments that users that don't really take a ton of photos or videos and stream all their media will be fine, but it's still a user experience problem in this day and age.

However, despite these issues I would argue that the iPhone 6s’ are the best phones you can buy today.”

It's no surprise. Regardless of what people rant on about regarding Apple and their phones.. they make bloody good ones.

I honestly thought i'd hate the 6 because it was bigger. I had my 5s and I was perfectly happy with it. Then I actually physically held a 6 in my hand and thought "uh-oh"

Upgraded to a 128gb 6s a few weeks ago and I honestly wouldn't change it now. Feels completely normal.

i switched from a series of android handsets to the iPhone 6s plus 128GB on launch and apart from the cost (ouch!) I've been delighted. It pretty much just works darn well. quality .

AnandTech is still a good site for the coverage on certain items (primarily the in-depth technical analysis of various CPUs and GPUs), but when it comes to phones, their mobile phone reviewers don't cover half as many as they would need to, to have a half decent idea of what half the competition is offering.

As for the current iPhones, they have incredibly powerful SoCs, but the battery life leaves a bit to be desired. At the end of the day, I'd take one of the longer-lasting Sony phones over an Apple iPhone, as the Sony would still likely have some energy left in the battery.

I charge my 6s every day and a half/ 2 days, I can easily live with that. In fact, anything more than a full day would be OK for me.

Your reaction is completely normal I think. The iP6/s is in no way a big device and the current Apple design makes the smaller iPhone by far and away the best in looks and ergonomics. In fact I would put it just above the minimum screen size needed in a phone. Those that say they are happy with a 4” screen or smaller are wrong. They don’t know it of course but they are still wrong.
