My opinion that makes me unlike other fans seems to be that I actually like Doctor Who :'(

I like the orginal seriers over the new series shit and that most of moffats era has been full of awful story arcs and a slutty companion (Amy). This latest seriers is a big improvement before that it was just a few excepts like name/day/night/time of the doctor, the pandorica opens, asylum of the daleks, cold war that i like
A few DW opinions I hold that are probably not current with typical fans today:
William Hartnell is the best Doctor ever, with the possible exception of Peter Cushing.
The "pure" historical episodes should never have been discontinued.
Black Orchid is not a "pure" historical, but an allegorical exploration of the Doctor's latest regeneration.
Lalla Ward cannot act.
Tanya Lernov would have made a better companion than Zoe Heriot.
If I were given the (admittedly unlikely) choice, I would opt to keep all the programmes Nigel Kneale made for the BBC (including the missing programmes), in preference to the entirety of Doctor Who (including the missing episodes). DW is often very good, but Kneale is a genius.

- I think David Tennant was more dull in a lead star capacity than any other lead star the show has had since 2005...Doctor or companion.
- I like Martha Jones, despite the writing letting her down.
- I didn't like John Simm's Master.
- I don't mind the New Paradigm Daleks at all. I really liked the white one.
- Series 1 is still the best series since 2005 (though Series 4 and Series 9 have given it a run for its money in my opinion).
- Series 2 was really quite good. Not groundbreaking but consistently good.
- If you take out the arc, Series 6 is amazing.

- I love The Beast Below (despite not on first viewing).
- Flatline really isn't that good.

- I really, really dislike the 50th anniversary episode and felt it was a bland, unimaginative concept that soured what came before it.
- Blink is okay the once, but struggles with repeated viewings.

I agree with the second to last point about save the world and all of creation stories, I like to go back to early ninth era where it was just travelling for the heck of it and if they ran into trouble they just took it on head on, Team TARDIS!
The most popular Dr since 2005 and I didn't like him at all.David came across to me like some smart arsed clever dick from down the pub not a wise old alien time lord.
But Matt for all his zaniness did manage to convey that to me.
I know I can't be a real fan because I'm not interested in the Dr's boyhood I just want to see him save the day

I would love to see them make a comeback. I really don't think they need to shoehorn aliens into everything just because it's Doctor Who.
The Aztecs was a good, solid story from what I remember and it is very much "sci-fi lite". The Reign of Terror was quite good too albeit dragged out somewhat.
I think they missed an opportunity last year with the 100th anniversary of the WW1 Christmas truce. That could have made an excellent story, without any kind of alien threat.
My thoughts, not designed to attack anyone, I still like the show but I wish I could still love the show and I still watch each episode live religiously.

2) I don't see Brain of Morbius as a classic
3) I thought Delta and the Bannermen was the best story of Season 24
4) Rose Tyler was the worst companion while David Tennant and Eccleston were not very good Doctors
5) Adric wasn't that bad
6) I felt Timelash was the better story of that season
7) I like Keff McCulloch's music, most of it anyway
8) The Leisure Hive was amazing, I just wish more episodes with more exciting plots could have got the same treatment production wise.
9) I thought the 1996 TV movie was okay, not fantastic but not terrible
10) While Tom Baker was a good Doctor he had as many hits/misses as every other Doctor before and after him.

I feel that RTD, while I'm grateful that he brought the show back, was terrible for Doctor Who with a style that clashed with it terribly and is generally a poor writer. I also think Tennant is overhyped and didn't the role, Rose was a terrible companion and the ridiculous love story didn't belong in Doctor Who, and that the show has improved massively since Moffat took over, with Series 9 being the best of the revival yet.
