Its how the votes are split that matters you have the UK vote split between the remaining acts.

But you have 1 act that's gets votes from the UK and if true that people in the Philippines are voting they will get that on top of the UK vote.

So you have 10 acts getting votes from UK

1 act with votes from UK and maybe Philippines. For this act to get voted out they would have to get a really low UK vote, but they seem to be a lot of UK people who like them.


Look at it like this. Say a 1000 people overseas vote for them through the app thats 5 votes per person a total of 5000 votes . Each person can use up to 6 phones/tablets per account that could be up to 30,000 votes.

i think you are over reacting.

I've never been to PH for quite some time now but I'm still in contact with my relatives there.

1st, not everyone with mobile phone in PH have internet access, not even a quarter of the number you mentioned. And most that do have internet, its very limited. They can see fb post but cannot read articles outside of FB. You can also check wikipedia whats the internet condition there, since you already managed to visit the site.

2nd, most of those that have mobile phone with internet are not also "tech savvy" to be able to use vpn or download from other sources other than PlayStore and AppStore. For some it's easy, but for the majority of users its not straightforward.

3rd, Although 4th Impact are getting some attention now in mainstream media in PH, most still don't know anything much about them. Most still prefer local artist that are stars in local dramas/tv series.

4th, Whatever the outcome of the votes, It just shows how many cares for a certain acts, be it British or non-British.

i gets really tiresome when people get accused of "hating" an act just because they find them remarkably mediocre and a bit cruise ship

Well all i can say is that people need to make their minds up. Because on one hand the large views on youtube/or how the polls are inflated etc all due to overseas people and most say its down to Filipinos.

Then in next breath they dont have that many mobile phones/they have bad internet. Well both cant be right.

Two things - the TV viewing audience is not the same as the music buying audience.
And, pop music is much more about great songs and music than it is about about great singers.

No, tellymix is also available here in the Philippines since this is like a newspaper online. I was able to vote there with polls. So I guess, there were also lots of Filipinos who happen to cast votes when they happened to browse articles from tellymix.

LM and 1D are really great and succesful artists. Many Filipinos love the music of 1D, and even other UK singers.

Just in my opinion, it may be unfair for both 4th Impact, LM and 1D to be compared at early stage. Die hard fans ofcourse will not let it somehow slide in case fans further debate these artists' skills and potential as performers. What's left is the artist in the loosing side, they don't even know their fans smash it all out, and them being rated.

Anyways, that was your own honest opinion, truly we somehow can't control what's different between artists. And I believe these artists have their own identity or even create identity that's unique and charming as we see and listen to their music. We just have preference.

That was fun and great! How I wish we can do that too. Actually, we don't have the full capacity to vote for them as the free app from X-Factor is not available in our country google play store. I read some comments above, and they are true.

Basing from news articles online, other fans may have downloaded it through 3rd party sites and maybe were able to vote with that app. That's a different story for sure. But I worry the credibility of that app, if votes from that were even counted since it's from Philippines and the app is not for our country in the first place.

We need smartphones and internet connection to download and vote from it. Well, not eveyone got smartphone. Others have the simplest mobile phone, not the techy smartphone.

I believe not everyone in our country still even know 4th Impact. Considering the number of their likes on their twitter and fb fan page with our population. Not all got international TV channels to watch them, also considering the huge gap of time zone between UK and Philippines. We have jobs and other businesses to get busied with.

We have our free local channels here that surely most Filipinos devote their free time, which get their interest during Saturdays or Sundays. So I can't explain much about their viewing figures in youtube how that happens.

What I know based from the general discussion on our page is that they also get views from the America, Brazil, Indonesia and Vietnam based on fan tweeting on twitter.
