Emmerdale. Heath and Cathy Hope.
Now I do realise that children are limited in the hours they can appear on set and in the grand scheme of things it really doesn't matter that Heath and Cathy have disappeared. However, since Carly is their Aunty you would have thought you would see them occasionally now, especially as April is their <insert what ever relationship it is
> Arthur must be around the same age as them and Samson, I think, is slightly older but you would have thought they would have some scenes together. I think the last time I saw them it was their Birthday Party and Brenda gave Cathy a stolen ipod? Ah maybe they've been done for handling stolen goods

I have a feeling they were added as a simple comedy scene for Viv but now they have no idea what to do with them.

I think it's a further insult to Deena Payne to not feature Cathy and Heath because they are Viv's only remaining legacy. They killed viv, none of her grown up children are left, no grave and they got rid of the post office.
It is quite strange though because the children on emmerdale are all fairly interesting, used well and played by decent actors. The twins have plenty of family around them so you would think that if the problem was down to the actors who play Cathy and Heath that the producers would just recast them. Very strange I think |

The little we have seen of Cathy and Heath, they have been very competent little actors. I don't understand why the producer has sidelined them in favour of cutesy child actors, such as Amelia and April, who have a limited appeal. .

Viv should never have been killed off
![]() ![]() As for the kids, I'm not bothered; there are too many of them in the show as it is. |

I've often wondered that. It really is odd. If the two children don't want to appear or their parents say they only appear once in a while then why not recast them? I don't know whether these two things apply, I'm just guessing. April, Amelia Spencer and Arthur all appear quite a bit so it doesn't make sense for Heath and Cathy to hardly ever appear. Maybe the new producer will address it and recast them. Carly talks to April now and then but is never seen with Heath and Cathy, most odd.

She is the daughter of the stepsister that Carly didn't even know, yet Heath and Cathy are her close blood relations - her half-brother and half-sister and she has never even been onscreen with them. Surely it is them she should be bonding with as if anything happened to Bob they would be her responsibility. |

Maybe they should SORAS Cathy and Heath to be about Belle's age to give her, Lachlan and Kirin some other people to interact with.
