I like being able to read about an album, find out who wrote the songs, and hopefully have all the lyrics so I can sing along (badly ). However, very few of the albums I look at have a digital booklet to download, so I have to buy a CD instead. Does it cost the artists a lot to make the booklet available in digital form?

I'm sorry if this topic has been discussed at length in the past, I couldn't find a previous thread (not that it is easy to do that these days).

I'm the same as you. I love looking through the booklet and finding the lyrics. I even read the "thank yous" section. I always have.

I usually download from Amazon (well, I buy the physical CD and a rip comes with it). In all of these a digital booklet comes with it. I don't know about iTunes, though.

Certainly a physical CD is much easier. I have recently bought a download from Amazon which came with a digital booklet (Gone Like The Cotton, by The Cox Family which you might like). It was interesting reading, but no lyrics. I would like to read it again, but it was a PDF file. When I opened The Adobe Reader today it said I had no recent files so I have been grappling with how to download it again or find it somehow on my PC.

DJW13 - you should be able to search your computer with "pdf" because that's the file extension all PDF files have.

As to your question, could it be that only having the booklet in physical form is an incentive to buy a CD? That way they could possibly get 2 sales instead of 1.
