All housemates are going to be chimpanzees.
They get dressed up for tea parties and ride tricycles.
Imagine all the jolly japes they'll get up to

Agreed.

I will believe it when I see it. They have promised so much in the past and then failed to deliver.

That's the pyramid bags product placement sorted.

I still haven't heard back from the Boss of Viacom EU, He actually replied to my letter so I sent a reply back asking him to clarify.”

Also the scummy crowd need to have better manners oathy particularly when the evictee is being interviewed, all this throwing of objects at the evictee and all of this shouting "off off off" is immature and juvenile. When are the jerks at C5 and endemol gonna start listening to the armchair viewers a lot more?

channel 5 purposely ignored the premise of the format from day one ,added to other well documented mistakes they have shortened the shelf life of the show [in my opinion]

an attempt to salvage the show is an obvious move but i'll be very surprised if they manage to do that

it's a bit late in the day for change ,they changed too much when they took over the show and look where that got them

CBB still does well. The last 2 years of civilian BB have been disasterous, though. 2 of the worst twists ever (Helen getting the pass to the final and the quadruple eviction of unnominated housemates).

Evicting housemates without a public vote has to stop too.

Well the joke of a creative director has gone, so new fresh ideas should start merging through. Pleased the divvy has cleared off.

Even if they made big changes they'd soon change them back when the social media chorus of "boring!" went up and it would be back to business (conflict for it's own sake) as usual.

Trust with production and C5 as a whole as far as BB is concerned is at an all time low following this summer series and the constant messing with the format.
C5 chose to do it 'their' way and now as widely predicted by many of us,the show is failing.
Whether Frow really has the b***s to challenge the producers and bring the show back to the viewers we can only wait and see.If as in many of his interviews/emails,he is just spilling out the usual 'this year will be better than ever' etc i wouldn't be surprised at either.
One thing for sure is that the show cannot continue as it has for another 3 years...... so its over to you C5/Endemol

Of course. It's meant to be on contract to run until 2017 I believe isn't it. Something will have to change.

It's the OTT twists and feed decrease that has ruined it. If they give us full feed and less OTT twists with better HM selection, that's all they need to do. The nom/eviction format still works worldwide.

I have only enjoyed two twists that C5 have ever done.

BB14 Michael the Puppet.
CBB16, the Triple Bluff (Jarrah going in the secret room with the others knowing).

That's it.

There needs to be 24/7 feed because that is something that will boost voting revenue. More people would become attached to a HM or dislike a HM more if they watch more than an edited show. That's why I love Italian BB and the feed helps the voting numbers.

Regarding that actually, last week there was a record in voting for an eviction, which just proves that public voting still intrigues people if done right. This series of Grande Fratello only averages between 3.0-3.5m, but there was just over 4m votes cast in last weeks eviction between Lidia and Federica (two girls in a sort of love triangle). So more votes than actual viewers.

Federica got into a relationship with Alessandro. Then Lidia, a new arrival (ex of Alessandro) comes in, breaks the relationship and claims she wants him back. He then takes her side over everything. Lidia said "I can't wait until I am up for eviction with her because I will break her in the votes". The HMs on the night were told to stand next to the HM they wanted to stay, when he went and stood next to her, it was the worst boos from the audience I have ever heard.

That's a story that gets eaten up in BB and people love it. And most of the bullying towards Federica (it was her V everyone) wasn't shown on the edits, only the live feed. Well anyway, 4 million votes, and with 75%, Lidia goes (thought it'd be easily 80% to be fair). If all that was shown on the main show, she would have got a Sezer/Nicole %. She wasn't even the worst of them either.

That's why feed is important. We have no idea what we're missing. And if there was feed, people would be more willing to vote as they see a full picture.

It needs a complete revamp everything from updating the theme tune to housemate selection.

It's so stale.

The theme tune is and always has been classic, the one thing that is not stale and should NEVER be changed (occasional remixes not withstanding) it is one thng that instantly identifies BB!

Personally I'm bored of it, I'd say it definitely need remixing, the Big Ears version was amazing.

I agree. The theme tune and full live feed should be untouchable.

I think it would sound good if they went back to the original mix - mix some of the first couple of minutes in with the female vocal.

It would only really work with a 'back to basics' concept though.

If he wants to seriously find out the way forward I suggest he reads various BB threads posted on DS these past few years. Many of the thread one could virtually touch the frustration of BB loyal viewers who were not voting or even voting with their feet because of tampering by Producers.

The Helen Wood "twist" followed by Katie Price winning CBB was probably the death knell of all death knells for this former iconic prog.

My advice , go back to basics, top tasks and live feet ...oh and less spinning storylines, we can see right through them.

But really Mr Frew, Helen Wood , Rylan and Katie Price killed BB.

No mention of LF at all, that I can see(?)

This phrase, "Minimum Run" - I guess that means they'll pad it out on-the-fly if they so choose.

Big changes........yeah, and they will probably be changes that make it worse than it already is.

Just been watching some old clips of the earlier series online. It really doesn't take much for the format to be great, which just makes it all the more depressing that we have what we have at the minute.

There's too much wrong with the show, and even if they make some improvements, I can't see the improvements being big enough to win me back.
