The reaction to this song is overwhelming, it's clearly going to be huge. And rightfully so, it's an absolute jam!

She really would've been. but really it didn't even have to have been a name in the Sax world, just any session musician! Literally you would not believe the amount of amazing sax players out there that would give their right arm to be on a record like this!

It's a shame, it's actually not a bad single overall but the 'brass' sounds very fake. It would have sounded much better with a real brass section or even just a couple of real trumpets layered over the top to give it a bit more character in the top end. As it is it reminds me more of Human League's Fascination synth horns than the JBs or Maceo & The Macks.

I'm also not sure how well it really sells Fleur as an individual 'artist' though. I could just as easily imagine this being a Little Mix single.”

That's the issue I have with SYCO, there's ultimately no love for the craft. I just find the fact that they allowed a song with the hook 'Play that sax' without any saxophone actually on the song to be released completely inexcusable. They were probably too busy writing the innuendos and thinking how clever they were!! Because sax sounds a bit like sex! Wow SYCO, you're the first people ever to spot that.

They obviously wanted an Uptown Funk feel but that had real instruments, they've really made an error cutting that corner.

I feel sorry for Ben. More attention has been put into Fleur's album. I've heard three other tracks and they're all killer.

I mean, you were practically deeming 'Sax' as world class based on the 30 second preview!!What's even more worrying is that you seem to think anyone who criticises Fleur is a Ben fan!”

What I think is sad is there isn't much debate on here, just name calling and vitriol by certain people if you have the audacity to criticise their particular favourite - it's all very immature. In my opinion the song is ok, but not really my thing, and Fleur seems to be modelling herself on Janet Jackson which isn't particularly fresh or new. Still her fans will continue to big her up and good luck to them, just not for me. *Waits for a certain poster to accuse me of being a rock/Ben fan of which he couldn't be more wrong*.

I guess people will either love it or not she won't appeal to everyone and that's totally fine!! I personally love the track it's funky and fun, makes a change from having a dreary ballad in the charts!

Fleur now at #14 on Itunes. Really pleased for her as all those years of hard work is now paying off.

I really like this. The rap section and the final verse are the best bits for me. It does rip off Uptown Funk a bit, but at the end of the day most songs are influenced by something these days. Not sure it'll get to #1 due to OA/OS but top 5 shouldn't be a problem for this, especially with an XF performance on Sunday. The single artwork could have been better though. This one looks a bit tacky imo, but that's a minor thing.

Is that the same poster who monsters any other act that they see as a threat to their favourite? A bit hypocritical to whine about anyone criticising Fleur while wishing other acts misfortune.

As to Fleur, to me nothing new or unique in any way. Just another rolling off the Syco production line. But I wish her well and if she is successful, good on her.
