He may not have the ruthless streak or be that business savvy to be Lord Sugar's Apprentice but Sam seems such a lovely guy.

It was refreshing to have someone who recognised that he struggled and took the responsibility for his errors. It was nice that we went over and said sorry to Natalie when she was fired and gave her a hug. It looked like he was about to burst into tears!.

After the show last night he posted a tweet to the team "thank you and I'm sorry" which was a nice thing to do. I am pleased that Lord Sugar gave him a second chance and hope we get some more entertainment from him before he leaves the show. I did laugh when he was talking about selling his child for a couple of pounds

I thought he was rubbish to be honest.
Doubt he'll last much longer.

AS I said on another thread- reminds me of Constable Goody from 'The Thin Blue Line'.

Far too diffident, and indecisive to be Lord Sugar's apprentice.

I think...I may be in love.

Honestly, as you said, lovely person. He looked like he was about to burst into tears from the moment they were told they'd lost

He oozes creativity, and I actually thought he was an OK PM but just a bit too indecisive.

I would say LS would never hire someone like him, but then we've had surprises before, like Leah.

He's a nice chap but he just isn't the type of businessman LS is envisaging.

He could be a Tom Pellereau.

I quite like Sam at least he was decent to his team and worked hard, it was shocking that he lost to that awful book produced by Charlene (who seems utterly clueless and can't string a sentence together).

I can't see him winning though but it's hard to pick an obvious winner at the moment.

I agree. Nice fella but he's a people pleaser which will be to his detriment.

I thought he managed his time poorly but his team well. It was a generally happy ship, he encouraged input, listened to what people were saying and didn't try to dominate everything - unlike Charleine. His biggest mistake was caring too much about having a good product and not enough about the commercial nitty-gritty.

He's a lovely, intelligent chap but he's also indecisive and I don't see much in the way of business acumen coming through in any task so far. It's a shame more of the candidates aren't as genuine as he seems to be, but business is business and he needs to show a lot more than he has so far.

Maybe he's not ruthless enough for the business world, but he has a wonderful old world charm which I find refreshing and endearing. He actually stands out, not because he's terrible, but because he is so different from the usual self absorbed wannabes we see on this programme. And yes, he has a touch of Tom about him.

He seemed to struggle to work to deadlines, depending on his business plan that may not be insurmountable, I can see him last much longer though.

Probably the business plan will be something to do with tutoring, a low overhead with just putting 2 people together and taking a cut but theres already loads around doing that and you need to spend a lot of time chasing up leads and tutors and making sure they all have DBS checks etc.

Low overhead, certainly, but if that is his business plan I'm struggling to see how this would scale easily.

He seems like a nice guy, and is obviously intelligent, but he is rather wishy-washy and probably not cut-throat enough for this process (his umming and ahhing about who to bring back to the boardroom was cringe-worthy). He did seem to be over-thinking the task at times too – the comparisons to Aristotle and so forth. I was really surprised he wasn't fired as well as Natalie.

Judging from this week's show he was intended to be the comic-relief of the series, in the style of Raef.
Judging by every other show in this series, he's seriously underperforming
