Are Chas and Cain going to let her get away with it ? They just chucked her out of the pub and that seemed to be the end of it. Why didn't they call the police ?

It wasn't Emma though,

All Emma did was lock a door

Don't think it was attempted murder. Emma intended to scare Chas, she didn't plan to kill her. She could still get time inside for that though.

I find it hard to believe she would get time for it. After all, Eric locked Val in the house of mirrors and he didn't get sent down for her death.

Am getting fed up of this story line......and now sleepwalking ??

How is bolting a door attempted murder? She didn't intend to kill Chas just scare her a little. She didn't know the gas bottle was leaking down there. It would only be attempted murder if Emma knowingly locked Chas in a airtight room knowing that no oxygen flowed through it.

Emma is a proper nut job, I defo wouldn't mess with her!! That said, whilst she's totally unhinged, she's not a killer....yet!

I was actually pleasantly surprised last night to see that Chas' stalker was actually herself! I'm not a huge fan of the character or the actress but I think Lucy Pargeter is doing a decent job lately, she's come a long way since her Crossroads days!!

I do wonder what they're gonna do with Emma, I love the actress but surely a character as messed up as her, has no long term future on the show, even her own sons are determined to bring her down!

I wouldn't call it attempted murder. It was cruel though, especially as Emma knew that Chas had recently been suffering from panic attacks, and that nobody would hear her down there.

From an entertainment perspective I really like the Emma/Chas rivalry, and I'm glad the stalker turned out to be Chas herself.
The show needs a story that's not about crime and violence and characters keeping life changing secrets.

She's a nurse. She knows how serious a panic attack can be and she's already seen Chas having one. Locking her in could have killed her. She could have fallen, hit her head and been left unattended for hours.

Emma is vile. She doesn't care who is hurt by the fallout from her games. Look at poor Sarah. Someone said she's not a killer, but who knows what she got up to in the time between trying to kill her baby and her appearance in Emmeredale? Do you really think she led a blameless life?

Whilst she might be truly vile, she is at least interesting and is actually really love to know what the hell she's been doing all these years, all we know so far is that she cared for her Dad before he snuffed it. She could have a whole other family out there that we don't know about!! The possibilities are endless. I love Emma, I just worry that she has a limited shelf life.

How exactly is she vile? What she did to Sarah was unforgivable but the way everybody goes around threatening the woman and forgetting she had a mental illness makes Chas and Debbie vile as well. You seem to be forgetting the character had post natal depression, she didn't choose to murder her baby.

I'd read that she locked Chas in by accident, I was glad to see that she did it on purpose. The Dingle's are all so dumb.

Made me laugh how they all blamed her for the stalking when when they found out she locked Chas in. How did she get in all the other times?

Dingle's = Dumb.

BIB She did fall and bang her head. I don't think Emma tried to kill her though. Emma was acting out of pure jealousy and just wanted James to herself on bonfire night. I do find Emma entertaining. She's actually pretty well acted and also pretty to look at. James believes that Emma isn't the stalker. I bet he tries to get Chas to apologise to Emma when the truth about the sleepwalking comes out and I can see Chas refusing after the things Emma did do.

Well apparently half the bloody village have a key to the pub so it wouldn't have been that hard. Have to say was surprised it turned out to be chas doing it. I'd assume Emma will be off the hook since Ross can say she didn't leave the house.

BIB - Did she though? I've seen it speculated about on here but not actually discussed or revealed on the programme itself.

She said she had postnatal depression. Whether that's the truth or not we'll probably never know because that is not the important part of the story for the writers. Ross finding out the truth was the only point of it.

A few weeks ago, she altered some of Sarah's medical tests to scare Debbie into thinking she was sick again.

I didn't realise that. I just assumed she did have PND. If she tried to kill Ross in cold blood when he was a kid then she is truly vile. She should have gone to prison which I'm assuming she didn't. I'm surprised Ross speaks to her at all. People who kill children or attempt to kill children in cold blood should get life and I mean actual life so they die in prison.

Ah, I did wonder if she had said that onscreen. She could be lying which she often does.

I just loved the way her dear sons grassed her up! The bit where Chas slung them all out of the pub was a gem, especially when the great grease head Ross thought her had permission to stay just because he is sleeping with the Dingle Bike Debbie. Ha, Chas got him out too!

Emma had no idea about the gas issue, none of them did, so I don't see how it was attempted murder. She was playing a mean prank because Chas had pissed her off, no it's not very nice or her but it certainly wasn't anything like attempted murder. Chas isn't exactly very nice herself so meh, limited sympathy with her having such a prank pulled on her. Obviously what actually happened was a lot worse than what Emma intended. Not that she probably wouldn't love to do Chas more serious harm if she could get away with it, but that's not what she was trying to do on this occasion.

Slightly changing the subject but still Emmerdale and Barton related, I love your profile description of Location : Hot Ross's Buns! I love Ross ♥ too. Michael Parr is such a talented actor. Even though Ross can be criminal from time to time, Michael Parr makes him likeable and funny. I think Ross is softening a little and will maybe clean up his act for Debbie. (For now). I'm looking forward to seeing which direction Emmerdale takes Ross.

The Dingles never involve the police but if they do Aaron can be locked up even longer for slamming a bottle of whiskey over James head. Part of the reason they never involve the police is that they are usually up to their neck in it.

Kudos to Emma for having the bottle to take that lot on. The rest of the village let them walk all over them and then they say sorry
