True. She does have the back up of James, Finn, Pete and Ross too which would give her confidence to stand up for herself just that bit more. Nowadays it's mostly the Dingle women who are a force to be reckoned with. As for the Dingle men there's Cain who can be dangerous and Sam. Zack is getting on now and told Cain that Cain is now head of the Dingles. I think Zack's turned a corner and isn't likely to try and use his fists very often. Obviously for Emma it's the women she would be taking on. Debbie, Charity and Chas could turn on Emma and I have a feeling Emma would still have a go.

I' m not sure Emma even meant to lock Chas in.

At the moment the Dingles are seeing it as pettiness, not an attempt on someone,' s life.

Hardly, James is on Chas's side and Ross on Debbie's lol

Emma had the Dingle's women card marked from the get go and isn't afraid of them or Cain. She's had several go's at him too. Emma is my heroine

Made me laugh how they all blamed her for the stalking when when they found out she locked Chas in. How did she get in all the other times?

Dingle's = Dumb.”

Surely you can see why Emma would be at the top of anyone' s list of suspects? As they said there' s a lot if sets of keys floating around that village and Emma wouldn' t be above stealing a set, finding yt alarm codes and so on.

Fair enough, thank you.

I know, I was just using it as an excuse to have a go at the Dingle's. I would probably have blamed her too if I was there, I mean, even her own sons believed her guilty.

The only Dingle I have liked recently is Cain, and you know my feelings on him.

Edit: Oh, and Belle, but she's not at all a typical Dingle.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

I like Zak. I' m finding Chas' histrionics very OTT which irritates me - it' s all hugely melodramatic -but then I suppose Chas was never going to crack up quietly. As for Debbie, the silly, selfish girl is trying my patience to its limit right now but she does have some good points. As for Sam, I haven' t liked him since he reported Olena and got her deported just because she didn' t fancy him.

I have said it before in other threads, but Emma's understandable contempt for the Dingles, particularly pint-pulling foghorn Chas and needy little trollop Debbie (her spot on words), is her best quality, by far.

I can't wait for Debbie to clear off (for a hopefully long real life maternity leave), then Ross can get back to being terrific, once again.

Ironically, the poster who dreamt up the nickname Hot Ross Buns, went to the dark side to become one of his biggest critics on DS.

Arty Attack.

His nickname for the fit carjacker is great and fitting though...and much shorter than my Ross nickname.

Why doesn't Chas change the locks,?

Oh yeah, I forgot about Zak. I've always liked him really.

Selfishness appears to be a trait that most of them share, it makes them all rather irritating doesn't it?

I was really quite enjoying the Chas stalker storyline until the reveal. I would like someone who the Dingle's have hurt in the past to come and stalk them all for revenge. Maybe wipe out a couple while they are at it. Just not Cain, Zak or Belle.

The Woolpack must be the only pub in the country without CCTV cameras. Perhaps is would be an idea to install some!

Thanks! I've been annoyed by what they've done with Ross recently but generally I love him. He's easily the best character in the show currently. Michael really is brilliant and streets ahead of lots of the actors, the Ross/Pete scenes are embarrassing in terms of how much he shows Anthony Quinlan up.
I don't like Ross and Debbie together but I hope she'll help keep him on the straight and narrow, there's been far too much of his bad side recently. He needs to be a little bit bad but I prefer more of him being good.

She got away with nearly leaving James to die, when she's going to explode?

I would actually like to see Ross trying to be a good person, especially since he has a son now. But whatever happens, Debbie will always drag him down.

I agree, I think after his recent antics we need to see a lot more of the softer side. I'd like to see him seriously try to be a good dad, because he really wants to and not just to keep Debbie happy.

I don't know what to make of the character Emma. One minute I find her despicable the next I feel sorry for her. Whatever the character - Gillian Kearney plays the part fabulously.

I agree. She's really grown on me. Plus anyone who despises the Dingles is just automatically awesome

She is a good character, albeit one who' s in a pretty big glass house. I mean, you can see why she' s their go- to suspect - even she must see that. As for all the Ross being led astray by Debbie, and James by Moira ...has she met either of them???

Saying that, I do feel for her. It' s awful when no one believes you.

I admit I am starting to like Emma. I like complex characters.

She reminds me of one of my old teachers, but that's another story...
