I think if it manages to squeak in then they will be the only UK girl group to have opened Top 10 in the US for 3 albums, or something obscure like that.

Early midweek sales report from Music Week has Get Weird down as selling just over 12k in the last two days. Looking good for another 25-30k then by the end of the week.

Thats good, the album seems to be maintaining its 4k a day rate from last week. No horrible nosedives like most front loaded boyband albums for them.

#5 with 23.6k on the Wed. update. Its on track to outsell some of this year's previous #1s on its second week. Really consistent 4k+ a day sales too.

It's a tremendous result when you consider Get Weird in its second week might sell more than what Salute managed in its first week.

Little Mix really have come back stronger than before with this era, and the best thing is that this success could easily last well into 2016 if the record company pick the right singles.

Have they ever after the lead? Back in 2012 the girls revealed the label wanted another single over DNA for the second and they had to fight for DNA.

The album has officially entered at #13 on the Billboard charts. Slightly odd that sales are worse than Salute when Get Weird was preceded by a minor hit - Black Magic.

Fans were there for the first two albums - 50k and 43k debuts- but that tour cancellation must have really done some damage as sales are about half of DNA. Maybe they shed the flighty here-for-the-moment fans. It could be a good thing if they want to rebrand themselves to the US next year if they dont have to worry about alienating a non existent fanbase (I doubt they'd do this).

To be fair, Little Mix were never that successful in America anyway. Their last two albums came and went and sold poorly. Plus their highest charting single is 67. Also, they no longer have that One Direction connection anymore due to Perri and Zayn's breakup. Most of their US tabloid coverage was about their relationship, not the music.

With five debuts in that portion of the chart, the only existing Top 10 entry to improve its standing this week is I Cry When I Laugh, the debut album by Jess Glynne, which rallies 9-6 (23,777 sales) as latest single Take Me Home jumps 20-6. Completing the Top 10: Little Mix’s Get Weird (2-5, 32,989 sales), Rod Stewart’s Another Country (4-7, 22,567 sales) and Ed Sheeran’s X (8-9, but with sales up 48.20% to 19,679 following the release of the Wembley Edition).

Get Weird total : 93,042

Even with this week's sales, it beat out about 23 previous #1 album openers from 2015.

I think it can stay Top 10 for next week? Other than Adele coming in and ELO most likely dropping out, I'm not sure what other albums are likely to debut Top 10 that would push Get Weird out.

Interesting to note that Get Weird's sales after two weeks are almost the same as what One Direction sold to get the #1 spot.

So looking ahead to this week, Adele may get a boost for all her albums. She might have 19, 21 and of course 25 in the top 10.

Enya has a new album out but doubt that'll be a big seller, but maybe low top 10 although top 20 is more likely. Plus tonight sees the winner of the Mercury Music Prize 2015 announced on BBC 4 so the eventual winner's album may get a boost in sales.

I think Little Mix, at best, will be #10 next Friday.

I see Get Weird being #8-9. The 4 above them will stay excepting ELO leaving and Adele coming in. I dont see Adele's previous albums climbing that high. #6 sold 24k and last week LM were selling 4.7k daily which wasnt a big drop from their near 5k daily on debut. I think the album is good for 28k next week. The Mercury Prize winner is getting a boost for now.

"14k sold so far this week, at #8. Could climb to #7 or even #8 by end of week."

That means its still maintaining its 4.5k daily sales. Excellent.

...and One Direction are #5 in the midweeks selling 16k.

Imagine if Little Mix managed to end up overtaking One Direction by the end of the week. Made In The A.M. was incredibly lucky to be the #1 album last week the way Justin Bieber was catching up each day.

Looks like #7 is realistically the best Little Mix could do by Friday but maintaining its sales which is a great achievement. Proof that brilliant singles really do sell albums. Ellie Goulding's album apparently down to #21 in the midweeks when you consider both were released the same week.

Good singles - and high profile performances that arent car crashes when its the only time the public sees you.

Little Mix back up to 6 on albums! One Direction only sold 600 copies more than them yesterday.

#5 1D at 22.5k currently. Enya #4. 1D were at 16.9k on the Monday update, so that means LM sold 5k yesterday. That would put them at 19k? Maybe they can overtake to #5.

They've been gaining on 1D daily (not that it's competition - but it's interesting to track) and actually outsold them yesterday for the first time, and it looks like they'll keep increasing on them. They won't overtake them this week, but it looks like they will next week. They'll also overtake Enya next week too and the only top 5 contender I can think of is The Vamps (unless the Corrs and Overtones have a bigger fanbases than I'm expecting), so a return to the top 5 is looking possible.

They're also looking to hit almost 35k this week which is an increase on last Friday's total. Love me Like You was an excellent choice for the lead in.

Wow, if Little Mix's sales look set to increase on last week then that's a fantastic result for week 3.

It does make me wonder if the success of Adele this week has actually encouraged people to pick up a second album while they're in the music stores.

Proof if ever needed that physical albums can sell by the bucketload when there is demand for said artist. An artist like Adele is a rare once in a blue moon type artist who is incredibly popular with all age groups...and if Little Mix are benefitting from this, then go Adele!!!

Wouldn't it be brilliant to see Get Weird outsell Made In The A.M. this week? For me, it would prove that this album by 1D will be a real flash in the pan, and incredibly lucky to have bagged the #1 spot. I still think that Zayn interview actually helped boost their sales otherwise Justin Bieber would've taken the #1 spot...and Syco know it.

Well to give them their due, both Bieber and 1D's teams pulled out a lot of effort for that one week so it was bound to be front loaded. Normally the people buying would probably have done it over a longer period than just that one week. However, Bieber has 3 songs in the UK Top 10 and his album sales havent dropped as much.

I also think 1D is coming to that natural cycle in boyband life where they are falling off.

I'm amazed at the Elvis album. Let's stick Little MIx with a live orchestra and maybe their album sales will take off too.

The girls really need to do some more promo in the US. The album is down to #90 already in its 2nd week.

LM's core US fanbase is now down to 25,000, probably a mixture of the canceled tour, the absence and the fickle only here for 1D fans going away. They have the task, and possibly opportunity, to rebrand themselves next year as a more mainstream act. They will possibly do that starting with Secret Love Song. I'd be really surprised if they didn't especially with the Jason Derulo duet.

Pentatonix is doing very well so that shows the US is here for vocal harmonies.

Personally even as a US fan I'd rather they strengthen their markets in Europe, South America and the Philippines first.

I bought that Elvis album as a birthday present for my eldest brother who has always been a massive Elvis fan. I gave the album a listen and have to admit, it's really good. Then again, I was already familiar with most of the songs anyways. The only damp squib on the album, for me, is Steamroller Blues which is so nondescript I struggled to remember how the song went after it finished.

So maybe Little Mix could do an orchestral album. Have you seen their Radio 1 Live Lounge performance of Want To Want Me/I Wanna Dance With Somebody? It's fantastic, showcases their vocals so brilliantly.
