So roughly another 20k for Love Me Like You whilst another 8k for Black Magic - great stuff!!!

Also the album almost sold the same as last week so a slight decrease is neither here nor there. The sales have continued to stabilise over a long period of time which is what is most important.

Who would've thought a year ago that Little Mix's third album would go on to become their biggest to date?

Do you think it will fall off a cliff after the holiday period or keep selling something - obviously not as much, but something? I think if SLS is a hit with the public it will do what all of Ed's songs did for his album.

I'm particularly astonished that in the UK LM is handily outselling 1D's album over time. I know 1D sold bucketloads in the US, but the lack of support for them in the UK is surprising. Its not like they sold hundreds of thousands and all those buyers were tapped out, they sold 93k on their debut week.

One Direction haven't really gained new fans in the UK. If anything, many of their fans from 2012-2013 have deserted them. What else can explain their latest album failing to sell over 100k in its release week, and now find itself low top 10 whilst Justin Bieber is still comfortably top 5. The sales over time is what speaks volumes, now what was sold in week 1.

Likewise, Get Weird didn't get to #1 because of Elvis Presley's orchestral album but I think it's fair to say Little Mix's latest album is far more popular than Made In The A.M. here in the UK at least.

They're on tonight's XF final doing a medley of BM and Sax with Fleur East. I'm assuming this is to drive both albums. Ahead of this BM is up to #48 on iTunes from #73 a few days ago and the album is also up on iTunes at #58 almost 20 places from yesterday.

Edit: LMLY doing well too.

#15 United Kingdom (=)
#17 Ireland (+3)
#143 United Kingdom (+38)
#148 United Kingdom (+33)

Black Magic
#38 United Kingdom (+10)

If this is the effect LM's appearance on XF has, can Adele sell any better than she already has? I thought she had already reached all the parts others couldn't.

Today (24 hour +):

Love Me Like You
#14 United Kingdom (+1)
#16 Ireland (+2)
#126 United Kingdom (+22)
#138 United Kingdom (+10)
Spotify:
#41 United Kingdom (+4)

Black Magic
#26 Ireland (+25)
#33 United Kingdom (+15)

Album: Get Weird
#16 Ireland (+31)
#42 United Kingdom (+16)
#45 United Kingdom (+29)

Its a boost, but I think the power of XF is not very strong anymore. Ratings are half of what they were for LM's final in 2011.

It's still a boost regardless so even though viewing figures are way down on 4/5 years ago, it's still getting around 6 million viewers so there will be people watching and then downloading/streaming the songs.

2 Elvis Presley - If I Can Dream (51.5k)

5 Jess Glynne - I Cry When I Laugh (29.9k)

I wonder what LMLY's sales are. For a song that never made the top 10, it has stabilized well.

LMLY did scan Silver, and its estimated at 229k as of last Friday. If only LM hadnt had to drop the Live Lounge and TOTP I think it would have gone back to the top 15 again.

229k is good for a song that never made the top 10.

No Asda is Fleur East.

Yes! Only 15k left to go, and the album is selling at an average of 8-9k/day so by Monday it should be Platinum! Unfortunately I dont know if BPI is announcing before Friday because of Christmas or will leave it for early January.

That will mean ALL of their albums have gone Platinum. I think that's quite an achievement in this sales climate.

Here's the weekly supermarket ad.

Albums
1 Adele 449,870
2 Elvis Presley 173,468
3 Justin Bieber 140,919
4 Coldplay 123,393
5 Jess Glynne 88,150

8 One Direction 57,046
9 Rod Stewart 54,166

Total 356,413

Their biggest album week ever. Even if sales plummet next week they will surpass DNA's totals. Right now the album is at #11 and #17 on iTunes so the digital sales will soften the decline.

I was surprised that Secret Love Song didnt make T100 even though it was #53 on pure sales. Thats streaming for you.

The post-Xmas music sales can usually throw up some surprising results, so I don't think Little Mix are suddenly going top drop out of the top 20. If anything, their music right is so widespread I can imagine people hearing Get Weird over Christmas and possibly getting themselves a copy. I think whole top 7 right now have proven to be genuinely popular albums which have stood the test of time (i.e. didn't enter and plummet in week 2), even 1D's album sort of plummeted before regaining some ground.

Once the music video is released, I suspect that is when we will see Secret Love Song climbing up iTunes and Spotify as radio airplay will have increased too.

This album campaign has now sold 1.37 million UK records, and we still have the third and hopefully a fourth single to go.

LM should have owned their 80s 90s retro epic pop releasing Weird People, Black Magic, Lightning and Hair - all with 90s blockbuster film stylings just like Black Magic had ....

then followed by a final song - a ballad
