Double elimination again this week
Just watching last nights xtra factor and grimy confirmed its another double boot off this week. So how many live shows are there this year and how many did we get in previous years?

7 live shows in total this year , so with 13 contestants at the start there needs to be a minimum of 3 double eliminations depending on whether they have 3 or 4 acts for the final weekend
thats 3 live shows less than usual as well |

I'm surprised it was only ten before, it always felt like more, TBH.

Not liking the double eliminations. Fair enough the first week yes due to the wildcard but now it'll all feel just too rushed. Single eliminations have more drama and edge. What a mess this series is turning out to be.

I'd blame the rugby for messing up X Factor's schedule, not that I'm complaining.

I've seen quite a bit of nonsense about this. They have to do a few weeks of doubles because the lives started later this year. It's simple maths.

It really doesn't matter if they have double eliminations every week right up to the final 5.
We'll still end up with a lacklustre winner who will do a "Ben Haenow" whilst the one Simon favours the most will be the one who is the most successful. (repeat chorus x2) **fade out** |
