Anyone out there know of an app for iPhone that once you hit your monthly minutes limit, will bar non-emergency outgoing calls? I'm trying to reign in my other half's overspend each month.

Switch to a PAYG package ?
Can't you just phone up customer services and ask them to do it? Many networks let you set the maximum spend

As Apple would not allow Apps to do that, nor does it have a feature like that built in to iOS, you'll have to contact your network to arrange this. Some of them will be able to do it, some won't.
Has others have said ring your provider and ask them to Cap your phone so once it runs out you cannot make calls, text, data.
I know Tesco do it and Three not sure about the rest.
There are no such apps that can do it as also said on here.

They are the only 2 who definitely have capped plans. I noticed BT Mobile offering a capped plan in their adverts, so perhaps them as well.

Should really be more providers capping because it's so hard to keep up with what data you use and now days everything is data hungry.

Some will offer a selected limit, but don't want to take the risk of offering capping as it makes them liable for any overspend, it's especially difficult for MVNOs as they are reliant on the MNO for billing. Vodafone, for example, can take 2-3 days to supply data usage charges to their MVNOs, by the time the MVNO knows you are over the limit its far to late to do anything about it. Plenty of examples of this on the MSE consumer boards.

Those aren't available on all networks and it might cost a lot more than an "extra few quid". Some types of phone call aren't even available on an unlimited basis, like international calls, so a hard cap on spending would stop that becoming a problem

If they're paying the bill they have every right to restrict their partner's spending!
