Where do you get those times from? The current schedule is 7.00 Countryfile, 8.00 Strictly Results. So those times should all be half an hour later.

What makes you think they have the right or the power to change the times for Elstree Studios or the public transport in the area?

No where did I say he was responsible - again you're failing to comprehend what I'm saying. I said he was fully aware of what the timeslot would be and therefore to blame that as a problem now seems daft. He very vocally wanted it moved to Autumn. He knew what time it was going out if it moved. To then complain about the time it goes out is eyebrow raising. It's nothing to do with responsibility it's wondering why he's complaining about something that was always going to be a consequence of a move he was very in favour of. If he was that worried about the timeslot, why press for the show to be moved?

Why would they place Countryfile at that time when it does well and has a loyal audience that it larger than DWs? It just wouldn't make sense for them to do that.

It seems likely to me that the show will be moving from next year anyway so the 'problem' will be solved.

Trust me. Countryfile does well on the night but it's a relative irrelevance to the BBC. It doesn't sell DVDs or merch or abroad. And it could sit quite comortsbly an hour earlier. Years ago it wasn't even on the in the evening at all.

This show is on too late

The later slot isn't helping its ratings, but while it's on autumn Saturdays, there's no alternative.

Of course people will watch Doctor Who but some people not as dedicated as others might not be willing to just wait about for it to come on which is why theres a massive decline for me Doctor Who worked best during Series 5 On BBC One Saturdays after Total Wipeout in April it was such a good line up and they promoed the shit out of it.

Doe it matter what time its broadcast, how many people watch it live etc as long as it's made and broadcast? I don't understand why people get so het up about it.

A potential split series: yes, that's a topic worthy of passion.

Broadcast time and live audience: not really. Why do people care about this? Is it just fear of cancellation? Doctor Who fans are very paranoid in that regard.

I'm a little annoyed at the cut from 13 episodes to 12, mainly because we lost a Moffat episode. If the BBC reduces the number of episodes made, as they did by spreading Season 7 over two years, then I will feel consternation over it but as long as we get those episodes I couldn't care less if it's in the spring, summer, autumn, 6PM, 9PM, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. I'll watch it when i want to watch it anyway, like most non couch-potatoes.
