Jo Clifton Singing
Apologies if someone has already posted this, but watch out for Jo singing live with the band, during the group number. I know that she has taken singing lessons in the past but don't know if she still does.

Remember Zoe saying last year that Joanne can sing.
She did do a little bit on ITT - but as it was with Iveta, who can't sing, and wasn't very serious, don't think it was a reliable indication of her ability. |

Must say I've got quite fond of JC this series.
She's been great on ITT and I much prefer her to KH. ![]() Maybe its just me, but I do think having her sing on SCD is just a step too far for a dancer.

I tend to agree, but as she was shown dancing full on in rehearsals I reckon it's more that she'll sing a few lines as "the character" before getting into the dancing.
Haven't seen ITT yet so apologies for being too quick to condemn.

Joanne has been nominated for the Best Supporting Female Offie for her singing role in the Irving Berlin musical "Face The Music" earlier this year.
http://www.offwestend.com/index.php/pages/the_offies According to Twitter, she trains with Fiona Grace who is a top West End vocal coach. |

Providing it is not Craig's bad singing I'm fine with that

I'm looking forward to hearing Jo sing tonight. I wasn't sure whether she was serious at first as I had no idea she could hold a tune lol. I like that they're giving her a bit more to do. I was disappointed she didn't get teamed up this year.

If it's an indulgence, she deserves it, after being left high and dry by a celeb. drop out. I would like to see her back next year with a contender; her performances on ITT this year make me think she might be a good teacher. |

I was surprised that she's thirty-two. She looks a lot younger.

I think she'll be good. I remember her singing with Iveta and being impressed.

I don't think that she'd have been asked if she couldn't sing. It would be easier for her to mime, so she must be pretty good. I really hope it goes well for her. There's probably plenty of people sharpening their claws, ready to have a swipe, if it doesn't.

Oh I'm expecting her to be very good, and I hope she is and I agree that without having a celeb this year she deserves a nice headlining spot.
In general though my opinion is the pros are there for dancing, not to showcase their other talents, so I can see where the op is coming from. I think in this case under the circumstances not only is it ok, I think it's very nice of them to give Jo a starring role for this dance. |

Perhaps she has been helped by her course of confidence classes as I always thought she was too shy in the past.

I have no opinion as to whether Jo should sing or not and my post was just to advise viewers to watch out for her as I had only read this morning that she will sing with the band. I had not watched ITT last night, so did not realise that it was mentioned on there. I for one, will look forward to hearing her singing. |

I apologise if you think my opening post is insinuating something.....it isn;t and was not intended to.
