In a bid to boost ratings Simon wants to get rid of the bad singers early on in the competition http://goo.gl/R21jeF

not really news , they dont have a choice but to do double eliminations because of having fewer live shows

nothing to do with getting rid of the deadwood quicker , just cowell trying to make it sound like he is in control when because of the rugby and scheduling it was actually forced on him

strange logic imo...
lol the thing is, with single elimination,
the judges actually have some power to keep the good ones...

with double elimination,
the judges has no way to keep the good ones if they got the least vote
since they instantly leave the competition

I wouldn't be surprised if there were in the bottom two tomorrow night, or Louisa or even Lauren.

Unless Kiera has a stand out amazing performance tonight I don't see her surviving another double elimination.

Kiera is going to be brilliant this evening as she showed how good she is in the sing off last week. So much better than Monica.

Show will be a complete sausage fest in a few weeks then like James Arthur's terrible terrible year.

And I can't really see that a flat, insipid version of a well known song with a lot of swag and attitude being what does it. I can't imagine anyone less 'mack' than Kiera and I'll be shocked if she survives this week.

You had better get ready to be shocked then. Kiera proved in the sing off last week just how well she can perform.

Kiera was in a completely different class to Alien who were the joke act of the show. Cowell couud'nt even remember their name.

Yep. Winning a sing off against a car crash isn't really a glowing reference. I think she was better in the sing off but then a bunch of cats being castrated with house bricks would have sounded better than Alien.

I though Alien were decent in their audition but anyone who murders a SOB song will never go down well with me .

It should be Monica and the dreadful Max for the trap door this week.

According to the odds it's Kiera vs a sausage

http://www.oddschecker.com/tv/x-factor/next-elimination

Reggie and Ronnie, Max or Mason before Monica. I could see Kiera going first though and then a sing off between Mason and R&R.

I would be delighted if Max and Mason go. They should not be in the final anyway in my views.

His favourites must be doing well in the voting then if they are going to risk doing double eliminations this early on.

Remember in series 7 where they did a double elimination at the start and then held off for while to keep Katie Waissel in for as long as possible

It's only a double though so it will be Kiera and one of Mason, Reggie & Ronnie or Max.

I'd go for the boy band out of those 3.

I'd fear for Mason in that situation as they won't want one category intact and another down to 1 act

Kiera will be one of the first people to go through tomorrow. There are at least six acts worse than she is.

I think she'd have more chance of staying if she did a straight up cover this week blinged up to the eye balls in a full length mink.
