Take it with a pinch of salt, it is the Daily Mail after all. Still an interesting read though.

Don't like the paper but the write up was about right, i can't see Cowell carrying on much longer, you've only got to read the comments at the bottom of the page to get a general opinion. X Factor is now on par with The Jeremy Kyle Show, both appeal to a certain kind of audience, one for the toned deaf the other for the brain dead.

The press are going hard this year. I cannot see it surviving much longer now (especially if The Voice going to ITV rumours are true). He should rest it for a bit. It's becoming more of a burden now.

Yes, I read the comments from readers and could only find one that defended the show.
I'm surprised it's still getting 5m viewers to be honest, I don't know anyone who watches it regularly any more. Time to give it a rest for a few years I think.

I thought a years break might be the answer but in reality I think it would allow those remaining viewers like me the opportunity to move on, I don't think I would ever return to watching it it already feels like a chore

Well the internet has always hated X Factor.

I think it is not producing stars anymore. The way SYCO treats winners is disheartening. Also after people have appeared on the XFactor there is no after care,a point made by ViewMyGig a new small company helping former contestants and small unsigned artists do some performing because they have fans from the show.Unless Simon likes you,you have no chance.

Btw James Arthur is still doing really well.He was performing in Switzerland recently.Just because he is not in the news.
