Continuation of: Strictly Come Dancing...'it takes two'..chat thread.. (Part 15)

Oh and my heart sunk at the news Jeremy has to dress as a cowboy for his tango. Why? I mean, I think he's safe as houses for weeks yet, I'm not worried on that score. But they've done a cowboy tango and it was a terrible idea then, why do it again?
If you are talking about this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRQoMmSemI0

It was a Paso

Anyway, I do agree with what someone said that Anita and Gleb don't have any chemistry together (He looks and acts like her driver).

Think that Kellie could suprise tomorrow, as not many people are predicting it to be great.

As for Jay, who knows? I did say earlier in the week that his schoolboy persona is not suited for the AT.

Alexander Armstrong was good. He should be in musicals! Hubbie and I both immediately thought of Professor Higgins from My Fair Lady when he was singing.

And yes, I'd love to see Rufus Hound do the show.

I really enjoyed that show tonight .
I love the buzz around kellie , she is so upbeat and chatty . Same with anita , just oozing joie de vivre and happy to engage with zoe and their partners . Can't be doing with dry bokes that you have to drag the chat out of .
I still think the producers are holding back on the training vids and the ones we saw looking meh will actually be fabulous darling, while the ones looking fabby will be slightly less fabulous .
Not keen on lovely jeremy being cowboyed up for his tango, but hopefully it will be a subdued outfit rather than packing two pistols and wearing a sheriffs badge pinned to his checked shirt . But with it being village people I daresay the wardrobe dept will go crayzee hilariously OTT .
Very pleased with Vanessa's sections . I don't usually like her and her opinions but tonight was more about her drawing out other people with questions and it went really well .

The only bit of ITT I have seen is Kellie and Kevin training clip. I have to say that Kellie - in that clip - is vastly improved. Only saw the start, with set up and 3 double reverse spins, that so look a little laboured, but the frame is good, poise and posture good, and very good connection. Needs to be lower in the legs, but well done to Kellie and Kevin of course.

Remember hearing Alexander Armstrong singing in the ITV panto years ago - he was very good.

He gained a choral scholarship to Trinity College, Cambridge, where he'd sing in the Chapel Choir a few times a week - they're good enough to make records.

(Knew someone who gained an Organ Scholarship and had to play for the Chapel services on Sundays).

Ah well, I do like the fact that the NAT girls are getting a bit nervous for tomorrow

It will be difficult to call the top 3 of the judges leaderboard, but out of the contenders I would actually be most surprised if Anita or Jay were up there (going by yesterday's training footage).

So, it might very well happen that the (seemingly) less popular celebs might score high, which would lower the chance of a surprise in the bottom two.

The last thing the BBC want at this stage, (as in any year) is someone who looks like "a runaway winner." This would be bad for the ratings. So some video footage other than that of the actual show, will be "tailored to reflect a more balanced situation,"

I don't remember what I thought of it at the time, but I enjoyed that Paso and Ashley didn't look as bad as dancer as I remember. Ola's dress is brilliant!

For me this was the best ITT of this series, I really like Alexander and Rufus, but I have no idea who the female was. I didn't know that AA could sing and imo we never see enough of RH.... I also like Kellie and Kevin and hope they do well tonight.

I'm not keen on Alexander Armstrong. I find him a bit smug so when they said he was going to sing I thought 'Oh no!' and went to put the kettle on... I soon came back in when he started up. What a beautiful voice and perfect diction. No doubt he has a CD out for Christmas, I shall be looking for it in Tesco

Just caught up with yesterday's ITT. I loved the panel, especially Rufus; enjoyed all the interviews - Pasha is so sweet! - and Xander's singing was amazing.

Gleb reminds me of a young Tom Cruise, when he was all about Teh Pretty and before he became weird and Scientologisty.

And Aljaz in the tanning booth...oh heavens... *fans self* *goes to lie down in a darkened room*

And meant to add, the bit with Natalie and the married couple in Coventry bought tears to my eyes. Lovely story and what a brilliant relationship.

I'm not sure I like this Friday ITT singing guest spot. AA was okay, but I was happy to see Nat and Gleb have a little twirl during it. If they would always do that, then I guess I could put up with the singing.

Bless the cockles of Rufus Hound's heart. What he said about Jay was lovely.

My other halfway just told me that it's getting rave reviews and the stand out song by critics is Hushabye Mountain from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

My other half is a bit of a blokey bloke, but loves Armstrong and Osman, so made a point of looking up the AA CD release date and reviews.

Rufus Hound was brilliant - loved his teasing of Zoe and the twinkle in his eye.

Thought his description of Jay was spot on - wish I had his way with words

Liked Alexander Armstrong, not heard him sing since he was Prince Charming in the ITV panto about 10 years ago.

Friday ITT much better this week.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but Alexander will be appearing in The Sound of Music Live over Christmas on ITV as Max Detweiler (with Kara Tointon as Maria)
