I don't think they know all of the orders, but ave a word, it's pretty obvious they would really, I mean what reality show doesn't have production pulling the strings?

If all scoring and decisions were down to the judges alone, there is no way certain contestants would ever be given a ten by the likes of Craig.
Craig is just a fallible and just as prone to favourites as any of them.

What do the producers do? They decide the order of the dances to suit the show (start big, end big), they decide which order to read the results in to have the most drama. They don't tell the judges how to vote. If they did it would've been leaked a long time ago.

I know she was upset, but Helen's "I can't dance any harder!" comment still makes me laugh. It's all very Fame.
It was very over the top wasn't it?

He will be dancing in a cloud of dry ice vapour, which only the judges will be able to magically see through.

Nines? What are you on? It'll be four tens at least - they might even add on some bonus points!

For the 'draama' and his expressive little tongue pokey cheeky Mr Punch like face.

An ELEVEN.

I thought Helen might have been in the dance off.

I think the fact that the row has hit the tabloids will have stung the BBC. Especially comments about Strictly and XFactor being as 'fixed' as each other.

In a way it's a testament to viewer power and Jamelia not being prepared to stay on message
Yeah you tell 'em sista.

Not at all. The judges didn't think Peter danced better in the DO. Len even confirmed this. And Craigs earlier scores and comments contradict this.
Again, so what? That's the exact thing I've said - they didn't vote on the dance off, they voted on the fact that Peter is overall a better dancer than Jamelia. Not in the spirit of things but it's not like it hasn't happened before. Nor is it some evil producer plan.

They didn't want to vote Peter out over a bad Jive when they thought he had more potential than Jamelia - not what they're supposed to do but there's very little you can do about that!

Thanks Jane thats lovely of you

Evening all

I hope Len can put an end to all this chat about the DO being a fix!
Do you know what? I don't care anymore! I loved Jamelia speaking up on ITT and it wasn't fair, but it's not like she was a contender. That would have been an entirely different kettle of fish.

There's so much aggro on here at the moment that I am seriously thinking about resurrecting the Naughty Step thread so the reasonable posters have somewhere to take shelter!

That Charleston was scored two eights and two nines.

So if they'd got it all right Bruno would have had to give it about 15.

I really hope some of you are as passionate and outspoken about "injustice" when it comes to actually important issues

That's no necessarily true. Jamelia was improving greatly which is the whole ethos of the show. Peter seems to be deteriorating. .

I don't know, Len seemed pretty genuine to me, he looked like he was being honest about producers not telling them who to score more, etc, maybe it was just a case that the other 3 judges did feel Peter deserved to stay more than Jamelia deserved to stay, for some bizarre reason. I don't agree with them, I agree with Len's choice to save Jamelia.

It is good that from now on the judges are going to give a definitive reason for saving people.
I'll repeat what I said yesterday, that I think before the show the judges had decided to send Jamelia home if she was in the DO again because she, quite obviously, didn't have the support of the public. Unfortunately they didn't bank on PA making such a fist of his (non)jive.

It's so patronising of the BBC to treat us like morons who don't know the difference between a good version of a dance and a bad one.

And their explanation for the reshot standing ovation wasn't convincing. I guess I might be more convinced if standing ovations were regularly reshot.
Oh I bet they will be reshot this weekend

But Len said that from now on the judges will offer an explanation for their decisions in the DO.

TBH I think the judges (Craig / Darcy / Bruno) thought it was the best thing to do as the viewers "wanted" to see Peter and not Jamelia but in doing so it massively backfired in their faces. I am surprised they've not defended their decisions. Maybe Craig is still coming up with an excuse.

Len did very well on ITT and I loved how he added that Jamelia was the one he thought was better

I agree with Len on drawing a line under this incident.

Instead of Len being made to do this interview, couldn't they get Craig, Darcey or Bruno?
I agree that they should have had the other judges to explain why they chose Peter.

It wasn't fair and it wont be forgotten. Its actually soured the series for me and I wont feel happy until Peter goes.

Shame really because I liked him before Strictly and I know that all this is not his fault but I am all for fairness in this life and to me it wasn't fair.

This is a television programme. An entertainment programme. Can we, please, move on. I am sure there are more important things to get your 'knickers in a twist' about.
What would you rather we discussed on an SCD discussion forum?
