As you can see, everyone is in total agreement in the SCD forum!

To be honest the amount some people carry on, especially with this whole mole business, a complete stranger who nobody knows from Adam and could be wildly biased against Peter, it has made me go the other way on this issue.

I was a bit on the side of Jamelia being better then Peter, I still am, but all of this going on about it has made me not care at all. It's a tv programme and anyone who never thought producers didn't have a hand in decisions is a little naive.

Complain, complain about what? The judge's decision, well they are diverse as dance is subjective. Case in point, look at abbey's scores from Blackpool, Craig thought it a 7 (right IMO) and the others 10's! I have been to many dance comps throughout my life and sometimes the whole crowd cannot believe how the judges have scored and placed people, but it is what it is.

Quite.

And as I've said before, if they are perceived as overmarking someone it actually goes against that celeb as they'll lose support - maybe stay a week longer but out sooner than they may otherwise have been. The opposite is true if a person is perceived to be undermarked - gets them far more votes - which is what counts in the latter stages.

The main problem is that the result contradicts what we saw with our own eyes so I doubt that the controversy will die down soon.

Does anyone know how often standing ovations are faked?

I don't recall any moles at the show reporting them in the past but maybe someone could have a look through past studio logs and lets us know how often it happens.

How do you know? It is the truth according to one person who is someone who couldn't keep their mouth shut about the results.
It is someone you do jot know, have never met, have no idea of their ethics, nor of their motivations and bias. They could hate Peter and revel in all this drama theg have stirred up which has now been proven to be false from wide angle shots of the whole ballroon standing up after his dance.

A standing ovation has to be spontaneous otherwise it's the hight of fakery and deception.

(1) I know what I saw with my own eyes - Jamelia danced better than Peter on the night.

(2) I consider that reshooting something as spontaneous as a standing ovation is the hight of deception. It's faking a response to something that hasn't occurred

What the mole said is not the main thing -- that aside about the re-recording of audience reaction appeared to be a surprise to them that they felt they had to let drop when informing Abigailsmum about the DO result rather than a calculated spanner in the Strictly works -- the real issue had to be the appalling judges' decisions given the evidence of our own eyes of the obvious disparity between the two performances being judged. The re-recording was just a tarnishing of the rotten lily.

I must confess, I had always assumed that all the SO's were orchestrated. Can anyone who has attended enlighten us?

All I know is that Peter better be eliminated this weekend. At least I hope so. He's one of worst dancers left and what happened last Saturday still doesn't sit well with me. He was by far the worst dancer in the dance-off and should have been eliminated.

When they first started doing the SOs we were certain they were goading the audience into doing it to the extent of jokingly imagining staff with electric cattle prods "encouraging" them. I dislike them almost as much as the bloody out of time clapping along with the music that must be so off-putting to a nervous would-be dancer trying to get audio cues for their performance.

Sorry to break in here but if even the Daily Mail is siding with the BBC which it did today, then it must be true because this is the first time i've even seen the The DM side with the BBC heh.

It amuses me that the BBC are still trying to convince the viewers that this is a proper dancing competition rather than an entertaining programme.
