I think the pros are starting to gear up now. Giovanni asked to dance shirtless.
Gleb oozes sex appeal all over ITT.
I wonder what the others are hiding up their sleeves. The fight to stay in the final has begun.

I really don't want to think about what Anton is hiding up his sleeve. Or that he may begin oozing.

Anton doesn't ooze, he skips about whilst madly grinning exposing his strange teeth.

Gleb oozes like a seventies medallion wearing porn star cliche. He needs to grow a tache and his chest hair and HEY PRESTO.

Re: Gleb and Anita/negative comments;

She is my favourite but her paso wasn't even her best dance (tango IMO) but it received her highest marks. I don't think her and Gleb are even close friends, he's a tough taskmaster, knows she is capable and pushes her very hard. Pixie's paso is probably my fave.

Paso is Jill's only memorable dance aside from her jive tbh. She was quite a bit weaker in ballroom IIRC, unlike Kara who was consistently good in both (see: the two dance week where she performed VW and rumba). I would have picked her as favourite female winner with Alesha a close second. <3

Anita's a tough guy. I think I'd have had a few tears before now with Gleb's cold approach. Especially rumba. He's cold and then she has to be passionate? Ohhh, makes me feel a bit just to think about what that would be like, but she's absolutely strong. To be honest, I didn't like her at first because she seemed to me a bit hard-nosed and brittle but as the weeks have gone on, I like her more and more, and respect her. Not my favourite dancer but as a human being I fully respect her strength of spirit.

I get you. I think Gleb is difficult to work with and not particularly supportive. She's had to be tough, and blow her own trumpet.

She's smiling a lot less lately when you compare her to how she was when she surprised with her cha cha. Not getting enough encouragement IMO. Gleb is teaching her to dance as if she is a ringer rather than a game beginner. Her SCD experience seems like a personal challenge for her rather than a lark, and that's down to Gleb. Not sure whether that's a good or a bad thing.

I know, I don't like Gleb and i don't know how I'd cope if I had to partner with him. I'd probably be in tears lol. I wonder if she's given up on building a relationship with him? I hope she just goes in does her job and has become indifferent to Gleb. The contestants seem like good friends so I wonder if she confides in any of them. Always good to have a friend to go to

She's very driven though and his approach is probably the best method for her. She was so focused on the prize when she was in Bake Off .. she probably had her own little version of Gleb in her head .. urging her to focus and strive.
I can't warm to them much but whoever decided to pair them up is a genius as I can't see either of them working as well with any other partner.

i can see Anton's catchphrase as a judge being "Do as I say, not as I did"...

It's quite an unusual energy between them! He's driven and 'difficult' in the training room and then on the couch he kind of sits back and is soft and casual, leaving Anita to talk up their week.

I'd have crumpled before now for sure. Hankies, long phone calls to friends, snot and panic. But Anita instead is 'just teach me the rumba!'

I think Anita is very determined. Probably it's just my interpretation, but I think she is a person who does things when they have a purpose - to learn to dance, to get to the final, that kind of purpose. She has the qualities to get there. But doesn't really look like she's enjoying it that much. Remember the smashed coffee cups in rehearsals.
But that's OK for me, she works hard and hopefully gets there.

I've noticed since Anita got the high marks and praise people on here have slowly turned on her.

It's sad as she has undeniably worked the hardest to get better, yet didn't get the deserved marks etc until the weekend just gone...

I think there's one part of the forum that's turned against her...but then who aren't they against? Just one person, I think!

Stop the snide remarks and address the posts that bug you.

Please.

I've not liked Gleb much from the start and I say exactly what I think about everyone, no bloody agenda.

Kara - I'll settle for that.

Alesha just had something extra though, an inner joy for what she was doing. Still, for a moment I feared they might pick Clancey!

Anita and Gleb - They seem to be on the same wavelength. She doesn't want an easy ride and it's not in his nature to give her one (could probably do with rephrasing that). I tend to admire her more than be turned off by her though.

I think Kellie is also very driven and determined in a slightly different way, but i think i prefer Anita but both of them really have their eye on the big prize (or glitter ball). Plus Anita has a tough teacher in Gleb, he might actually get a bit more from her if he acknowledged how hard she is working. I think she is crying out for some little bit of praise and she is trying to cover it up with pretending to be as tough as Gleb!

I think there are too many posts than is possible to address.

Also, I've been made aware that there's a tacit rule regarding "cross-thread discussion".

Do the odd one, or don't bother at all then. Snide, general remarks and veiled insults come across and generally insulting and disruptive.

I thought snide and veiled insults were a staple of this forum.

I think only Anita could cope with that type of approach, but then I wonder if Gleb would behave the same if he was with someone else? Perhaps the dynamic between them is unique and works for them both, though I do get the impression that Anita is more dealing with his approach rather than thriving on it. However she is improving, so who knows.

I think Giovanni can be quite tough on Georgia too, but he seems to have the balance right..pushes her enough to get the best out of her, but maintains a friendship and keeps it fun. You have to enjoy the experience too.

Does anyone else recognise the top half of Helen's dress from a previous week? I am sure I have seen it before but can't quite work out on who??!
