Hey, no need to argue. No reason it couldn't be one of the worst outfits to ever appear on Strictly AND still be one of Kellie's better outfits...

Not seen that since Terry Wogan regularly wore a green velvet jacket on the old "Come Dancing TV programme," where his job, was just to describe the female dancers' dresses, the amount of material and the number of sequins, etc., |

I think Kellie is also very driven and determined in a slightly different way, but i think i prefer Anita but both of them really have their eye on the big prize (or glitter ball). Plus Anita has a tough teacher in Gleb, he might actually get a bit more from her if he acknowledged how hard she is working. I think she is crying out for some little bit of praise and she is trying to cover it up with pretending to be as tough as Gleb!
As I said before, I think Anita responds to the sort of teacher Gleb is. She said it herself last week, she doesn't care how he is or how he treats her, she only cares about learning to dance. I don't think that's bravado from her .. I think she means it. At the end of it all I'm sure she would like a few words of praise etc (which she does get from him occasionally) but, in the meantime, they are on a mission and pretty much both on the same page. Helen would have crumbled. Katie would have told him some home truths. Georgia would have probably been okay but it would have taken some of the fun out for her. No, he is best suited to Anita. |

I think Kellie could work with Gleb .. apart from perhaps the lack of rehearsal time (think that might rile him) but don't think Anita and Kevin would be good together. They don't seem like a good match up at all.

I've noticed since Anita got the high marks and praise people on here have slowly turned on her.
It's sad as she has undeniably worked the hardest to get better, yet didn't get the deserved marks etc until the weekend just gone... On a lighter note for me: The defining moment of Anita-Gleb SCD partnership captured on ITT camera. [ I don't know if I feel sorry for her or am in awe of her resolve. But Gleb cracks me up no end. ] Gleb: "Upppppp!!!!" Anita: "oh,OK" Anita: "ktchk!!!" Gleb: "other wayyyy!!!!!" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Yeah, undeniably there's a backlash. But that kind of thing is to be expected, I think. Sad but not surprising. For many, Anita and Gleb are OK only if they remain middle-of-the-table inhabitants and are consistently under marked. Sadder still is that their impressive marks last week may be a precursor to their exit this week. She's doing the Rumba and if she doesn't get it right; they will maul her (in a manner of speaking). She falls into the bottom two and she's a goner.

![]() Can't see Gleb coming back next year, as his approach would not work with a different kind of celeb (even with someone like Kellie; who has a different kind of driven character). Also, he doesn't generally stay long on the different Strictly versions. He is basically the male version of Ola, except for the amount of words spoken. Quote:

I have been saying for weeks Anita has been constantly undermarked and then the one week she gets good scores its for a doubtful Paso <sighs> It most certainly was not the best Paso ever on SCD so I am not sure what Karen was on earlier this week, that's was weird. Her response to Anita's dance has also soured my liking of her being a Judge later down the line. If she judges like that she would be useless!
However back to Anita and Gleb. I think she is a talented novice dancer and yes I agree she and Gleb seem to work well together despite his draconian methods. If that works to bring out her best then that's fine. As for Gleb himself I haven't really taken to him at all. It might be a combination of all the girls swooning over him every time his name is mentioned (that gets old very fast), but also he comes across most of the time as cold. For example tonight other than a couple of thin smiles he hardly emoted much of anything. He is the epitome of the ice cold Russian. Compared to other male Pro's like Kevin, Tristan, Anton, well hell any of them he just doesn't do much to appeal to the general public other than his looks which all the women seem to like. |

Happens every year on DS . Someone comes from behind and threatens their favourite and they find something to pick on . It then spreads and suddenly more and more " see " it This time its Anitas is " too driven "
Personally I liove Anitas hard work and determination . I also love her passion and her dance Obviously the main priority right now is to get rid of Pondray, but after that I hope Anita and Gleb go - though I'm resigned to them having enough public support to comfortably make the final. |

I never rated her much and she's been annoying me for a few weeks, along with the whole 'undermarked' routine which I never agreed with. Just saying.

Or perhaps they are seeing what I already said from the start
![]() ![]() It's a show about improving dance technique... I bet your favourite is Kellie. ___________________________ The thing is right, I look at all the couples and I want to watch performances that excite me. There are four couple that I really love watching... Jay and Aliona - because they bring it week after week and I await another wow moment like the Jive. Anita and Gleb - Fiery coupling, they always bring the performance aspect alongside innovative routines, their Tango was the most interesting I've ever watched. Georgia and Giovanni - Gorgeous couple, It's been so sweet watching her grow into a little performer. Helen and Aljaz - Yes she did Ballet growing up and is trained blah blah blah. BUT I do love her dances and I believe she struggles with movement and I've enjoyed her "journey". |

And I certainly don't think the marks she got for her Paso and Karen raving that it was the best ever have done her any favours - I thought it was only worth about an 8, and it wasn't the best Paso ever by a long, long way. And it may be people turning against Gleb as much as Anita - he's certainly attractive, but in terms of personality and charisma he's probably my least favourite of the current pros... |

I like Anita, but I don't think she's been undermarked. In fact, most weeks I think she's been very fairly marked - her leaderboard positions may have been wrong, but that's due to overmarking of others, not her being undermarked.

I still don't understand why her doing well is making people turn?

![]() I didn't like Kellie at all to begin with but find that now I've seen her more .. I like her more. It's worked in reverse with Anita. One of the things I don't like is her & Gleb getting into the zone about five mins before and, what seems like, several hours afterwards. It's not necessary. We've seen some brilliant dances on Strictly without the need for any pro to be urging their celeb to 'stay' as if he/she will be rewarded with choc drops later! It's just a light entertainment programme .. not deadly serious come dancing. I know other people like it .. it's just not to my taste is all. Don't like the face pulling either. |

![]() I feel the same as daziechain - the more I see of Kellie and get to know her, the more I like her - she's gone from being a bit annoying to me really rooting for her to do well

I felt it worked with the paso for Gleb to be commanding, as the woman is meant to be the bull right?
Obviously if he did that after the quickstep I would also be a bit put off. I just hope they pull this rumba off. |

![]() And I do feel sorry for Kellie (who is NOT my favourite), because if you compare her dresses and production value to that of Anita then she has been stitched up a bit by the TPTB. Think that people would think different of Anita had she been Hermione or Princess Leia. Strictly is also smoke and mirrors, and those have been reserved for Anita this series. Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing Aled Jones backstage tonight (on ITT). |

They've done it a few times though. I'm expecting deep and meaningful looks before their rumba!
Other couples have done it but more jokingly. This looks deadly earnest which to me is out of place on Strictly. Anita was still in Paso character in front of the judges .. for some of it at least. It was too much! |
