Well that was oddly dispiriting for some reason.

I think Anita did very well in that cabaret dance, considering she had no previous experience whatsoever

Didn't Alesha end up in the bottom two with that one?
Ha! Fair point. But I laugh in the face of public opinion: *I* remember that dance as being wonderful.

and kept her bum off the floor during the whole routine.

When she says she starts from scratch, what she means is "aren't I good".

How many times must she remind us that 'she is a beginner' at age 38 - we hear it on the One Show and every week on ITT etc etc- at this stage she has had the same training time as all the other contestants who have not had proof BALLROOM training- 13 weeks later she should just get on with it and stop making excuses -

It was up to Gleb to have trained her on technical steps etc. Anita is good at acting and performance (I guess she had no prior training in these disciplines either?).

I thnik Anita is a good dancer and is a very ambitious person who may or may not win - that depends on her public support which we can all only guess or surmise about at present.

Wishing Gleb a speedy recovery.

That felt very padded out tonight. I don't know why. Given that, I was a bit peeved they didn't have time to include everyone in either the costume or the make-up. I get that they never include the men, though it annoys me, but no mention of Kellie's dress?

I'm very intrigued what dress Katie will have. I can't quite see how the Liza Minelli look turns into a ballgown, but I can't imagine anyone dancing a foxtrot without a full skirt. I would guess the top just like Lisa with a full black or stripy skirt?

Maybe Vicky should do Strictly next year.
Yes! And she should be required to wear Kellie's clothes from this year!

Did anyone say what was wrong with Gleb? Mumps (swollen face?)

Maybe because they haven't got round to making it yet?

I sometimes think it looks like they've just cobbled something together on Saturday morning, from scraps of material which have been left over from the other dresses.

I thought it was the neck with mumps?

And the er...well you know, it would make it uncomfortable to dance.

It's his lips.

They said he had an allergic reaction to something. Maybe it was Alex Jones.

My money's on him having bruised his little "Gleb-ulars" after insisting on doing those box splits twice on Saturday. It's got to take it out of a chap

I thought that just looked weird. Louis' splits are better.

BTW, I was thinking of the American Alex Jones (male radio host) who has a big fat face -- sorry, Ms Jones!
