As Anita's flange first hit the floor about 35 seconds into the cha cha in week one, the answer obviously is YES.
Flange is vulgar. Quim is a better word if one must.

What's she doing if she's not dancing?
I didn't dispute that she's dancing. I commented on the fact that she doesn't seem to be doing much learning. And Saturday night is certainly not the time to learn, anyway.

You said that she hadn't learnt to dance. What's she doing on Saturday night, if it's not the dance she's been taught? Or is she improvising?

I think you're being obtuse on purpose. Learning implies IMO that you continuously improve and don't just repeat moves you've been taught. Of course she has learned the routines, but it's not quite the same as learning to dance. My opinion, nobody has to share it.

It would be nice to see a comma before and after the "IMO". #datpunctuationdoe

How am I the one being obtuse? You're the one splitting hairs over both what it means to "learn to dance" AND over my referring to "what is she doing on Saturday night?" as though you think I seriously meant Gleb's giving her lessons in the middle of the floor in front of the nation.

She's given a new dance each week, she learns it, then performs it. She's learning to dance. Referring to it as a "routine" doesn't make it not a dance.

Maybe you're talking about different kinds of learning?

1. Internalise the movements and the muscle stuff so as to be able to repeat but also (in a limited way) to extemporise eg Jay finishing the foxtrot after he tripped
2. Learning this dance exactly

So you both look 'obtuse' to the other

Is there no acceptable bias for you?

My attention will be on Adam Garcia. Who cares about the other two?

I mean, yes, if what Jay is doing in the last 10 seconds of this is as a result of his having "learnt to dance" then really anyone could do it. Walk, walk, go to headbutt tits, get elbowed in the face, endpose.

That short clip of Gleb dancing to the music from Eugene Onegin (Tchaikovsky) was well interesting, I mean, the music was. I would quite like a bit of that music on SCD, but they massacred Beethoven's 5th, so I think classical music should be played in the original arrangement, only reduced for a smaller orchestra, not completed re-arranged.

I like Anita and Gleb I enjoyed their interview tonight. I think that they came across really well but I simply don't understand why they get so much flack here Gleb in particular
Please don't say because certain fans are threatened by them. I'm a Jay fan and I like them.

I admire your impartiality on this forum, edy. I know I struggle with it

Edit - well, I suppose impartiality isn't the right word, but you get what I mean

Oh, I know, but at least he did something... Most of us would just stop short or hop on one leg. I'm not a Jay voter, btw, I just mentioned him because it was the one instance I could think of where a contestant had to carry on unscripted. Oh, no, there were Ainslie's jiggles too, which were even more wonderful

I really like Anita and am 'amused' by Gleb. I think in his case, it's not him that gets the flak so much as the show's idea of him -- the Zoe drooling. Like tonight, he wore the see through shirt / truncheon combo for an ITT joke. He's supposed to be irresistible. Then at the centre of it he has a rather stolid character in interview. It's just a contrast

I think the quickstepathon was a good enough test of how the contestants can work (more or less) unscripted. And Anita seemed fine. Jay seemed fine. Katie seemed fine. Georgia seemed fine. Pretty much everybody other than Peter seemed fine. Hey, maybe everyone's learnt to dance, what a thought...

Jay is my 1st favourite and she's my 2nd favourite so maybe not too impartial but I know what you mean .

I have really enjoyed Gleb and Anita this year. She's been good, they've had some entertaining routines and Gleb, well I'm not sure that I fancy him more that I recognise that he's certainly fanciable, if that makes sense.

He's also been good for people watching; his laser like ability to find the camera in a crowd, his waxwork like stance when he doesn't want to play the game or doesn't agree with the conversation, his inscrutable looks and his occasional bone dry wit have all been small joys which have greatly enhanced my viewing.

I just wish that we had seen a little more of his cheeky, flirty side witnessed on DWTS, but I guess having been put in the 'OMG hearthob!' role early on somehow stymied that, unlike Giovanni who deftly steered away from the equally stupid son-of-simone label, possibly because he had no clue what they were on about.

Yes I think that if people saw how he ( Gleb ) was on dancing with the stars in the US 2 years ago, they would've had a more favorable opinion of him. He was so funny, carefree, cheeky. .just fun and didn't seem to take himself too seriously. At all.
I don't know if he feels like he has to play a role here or fit a certain mold here. .or the dynamic of his partnership with anita. .. BUT there's more to him that meets the eye.
Maybe another partner will bring that side of him....maybe he we'll see it next year. ...who knows ?
