That was a lovely final interview with Anita and Gleb. Despite their disappointment they both seemed so happy and relaxed.

I thought the same . A good relationship , no gushing or need to hold hands all through the interview . But a solid trust in each other

I didn't even notice that, the shape of her eyebrows has completly changed possiblly for her part in Chicago who knows but she did look different.
Lovely interview with Anita and Gleb, I think from this series I feel sorry for Anita and Helen both should have made the final imo. Looking forward to CC with Jo tomorrow the last week is usually filler central on ITT but it was good tonight.

It's a symptom of having too much botox. The eyebrows keep dropping lower and lower because the muscles used for raising the eyebrows are not being used and gradually weaken and eventually collapse.

Lovely interview with Anita and Gleb. She seems a really remarkable person - I am sad she isn't in the final, but I am certain she has done herself only good by doing the show and that great things will come from it for her. I think the thing everyone will remember is her fearlessness. Gleb I'm less sold on yet but I usually take at least one series to get the hang of the pros and they were a very good match to put together.

Very likeable panel of friends as well and I usually hate it when they do that. I thought it was nice that everyone said positive things about the others as well.

I thought that quite a few weeks ago and posted my appreciation in the appreciation thread because their relationship made a refreshing change from the usual 'love' angle that would have been predictable with Gleb. In fact I think Anita must be a breath of fresh air for Gleb; an emotionally grounded woman with a brain who is more willing for risk than consumed with her appearance. I'm not surprised he admires her and feels affection for her. Such a nice compliment that Anita paid him about his creativity; I'm sure he values that recognition highly. I will miss them in the final though it's balanced with having my lovely Katie.

It probably depends on the celeb but I'd guess it'd be discussed between the celeb's agent and Strictly execs first. So either Celebs agent approaches the producers and states their case for why they think their celeb would be good for the show or producers approach the celebs agent and says why they think the show would be good for their celeb. If they both agree it's a good idea the celeb is probably then asked if they want to go ahead and do it.

In the case of 'BBC celebs' though it's probably a slightly different processes. I can imagine with Eastenders cast members The Strictly producers would probably meet with the Eastenders producers and they'd probably decided the best candidates based on who's got have big enough storylines so it's a good promotion for both shows but who isn't going to have such a huge amount of EE work that rehearsing for Strictly would be impossible.

So proud of Anita and Gleb, such a brilliant pairing and they made this year unmissable viewing.

I don't feel a need to watch ITT this week now, I'll just watch the final... Jeremy!!!

Are they really that ignorant?”

And they credited "Hallelujah" to someone other than Leonard Cohen which made me fume

Does anyone know if all the finalists get interviews on ITT after the final, or if its only the winners?

I think it will depend on which score they have and, especially if Dave Arch is arranging it for the dancers, what they are allowed under copyright. I expect it's more likely that they could get permission for derivative versions from those they have credited.

I'm probably just upset because "Hallelujah" and "Songbird" had such iconic singer-songwriters who originally made their songs famous. Most songwriters never get any kind of mention. and I saw Dolly Parton in an interview once saying she was thrilled everytime she saw Whitney Houston sing her song "I Will Always Love You" because it was ching-ching - money in the bank for her. But she also bragged on Whitney's version and said she thought it would never work being sung that "big" - but it did.

Tho Dolly's sincere and simple version is still the better one.
(Sorry Whitney fans. Oh my God, sorry Gio!! )

There is no ITT after the final, but if you mean the aftershow on red button, I think they'll talk to all 4 finalists. They certainly did that last year.

I love Dolly! And she's quite the businesswoman. Elvis Presley wanted to record one of her songs but his management insisted on all the rights to the song - and she said nope. It was funny - she said she could already hear Elvis singing her song but she just wasn't that stupid.

The problem is that as the DO is recorded on Saturday, the dancers will always dance the last dance they did in the semi final, or they'd have to go all through the rigmarole of changing their outfits and make up. I know they've already done that once when changing costumes between the first and second dance, but I guess wardrobe and makeup wouldn't want them to have another change. All the dancers were wearing the costumes they wore for their second dances.

They are allowed to do their first dance! It just so happens every couple this year chose to do their second. Tess even asked Anita why she chose Salsa.

The intent is to inform the public which version will be used, rather than credit the original writers and let the public guess about the version.

That was the best that section has ever been done (terrible English, sorry ). They do it every year and I do usually like it, but this year was a great bunch of people who are clearly watching the whole show and enjoying the whole thing whilst supporting their friend. As I said before, they could have been in a pub having a drink together and chatting about the show. Loved it.

I must admit, I've heard conflicting reports concerning Miss Brooks - that she's really nice, and that she's a bit of a diva. Can anyone put me straight? (She's a fantastic singer, regardless.)

Yes, he's been OTT this year, to the point of appearing nasty and mocking (probably not his intention, but that's the result).

When I did my mid-term analysis of the judges' scores, I did find he was a bit less consistent than previous years, but that's against a background of being, through the years, consistently the most consistent (!) judge of all.

Off topic, but here's Elkie Brooks, in Vinegar Joe (along with the late Robert Palmer):

Take away her toepicks and make her let go of her partner and she would have been utter rubbish on Dancing on Ice - as indeed we saw in Champions series where they had to do a short routine on her own!

She weebled and wobbled and somehow managed not to fall down - but it certainly showed just how bad she actually was - she was all smoke and mirrors - she (like Bonnie before her) could perform brilliantly when standing still, in the air or holding hands with her partner - but take them away and she was actually one of the worst on there,
