Katya's enthusiasm is infectious.

Excited for their Jive now

I love how you never have any idea of what Ed & Katya will come out with each week

Such a shame. They don't need overegging.

Best male hip action ever this is why I can't take Karen seriously sometimes. She has an habit of saying some of the craziest things .

His hip action was very good though, even if 'the best' might be stretching it a bit.

I think we'll know when they want rid because he'll get a rumba. No room for jokes and lifts in that.

The judges/Karen/Ian have presented the Rumba hip action as fluid and continuous in the past; Ore didn't manage that IMO. He nailed it at times but his hips were intermittent - Karen getting up to show off an example just exposed the difference in hip action between what he should have been doing and what he was doing.

There is, however, the small but real possibility that the Rhumba could be his most hilarious dance yet.

Ed & Katya may finish up as my favourite partnership across all 14 series. They've nearly drawn level with Austin & Erin...................

I thought his hips were very good, not perfect, but MUCH better than most male celebs.

Have you never heard of Rom-Coms?

Len was high that night, no other possible logical reason for that score considering what the others gave, and knocking Craig's 4? He gave a 4 because he was marking the dance as they all should of done. It was supposed to be a Salsa but lacked any Salsa content and so he marked it accordingly, unlike Len who decided that although he is head judge to mark the dance technique he would ignore that title and job on Saturday and instead mark as viewers at home would, on entertainment alone.

As I have said on other threads its not his job to mark for entertainment. He is there to mark for dance technique and that's why its him on the panel and not someone who has no dance experience at all. The people at home will decide if they want to vote for someone on entertainment value.

Thank you bendy, I know I'm not (that) mad, and I know a bit about BR and Latin.

I live solely for the prospect of seeing Ed dance the Rhumba

Ore did a good Rumba but did prefer Danny's.

I agree - most but not all so not the best male hip action ever. Then again I suppose we should have to expect hyperbole time and time again; have we had 'BEST SERIES EVER' yet?

Possibly because she's hard of hearing.

Glad to know I haven't lost it then. Thought Ore did very well and wasn't really understanding the reaction as the discussion thread went on.

Just catching up on the first half now. I have to say, I do love this year of Strictly's lot. Claudia is such a little cutie.

I know nowt about owt, but I thought his arms were lovely and lyrical. The problem I have with Ore is his feet - he always looks heavy footed to me, or even like his feet are too big! I don't know what it is, but my eyes are always drawn to his plates of meat.

Mine too. Thought the choreography was really lyrical. It was all the different contact points -- the different ways of holding hands. The thing I like best in all of the dances is when someone does an ordinary thing like walking well. So this rumba was great for me. It had two ordinary lovely things: walking and holding hands. I'm a simple mutt
