Claudia needs to keep up the energy. I think she'll do great on the night.

He probably doesn't want to go into it. If he went into detail about it, people would say that he's trying to get sympathy.

I remember Kevin's Paso in Blackpool with Susanna Reid.

That's my point. Why even bring it up then. We don't need to know.

I would love to go there.

Whenever I've been to Blackpool though, I always get sand in my eyes!

Why not ? He is entitled to explain his focus and his dad is entitled to privacy

looks like it could be a good dance for Louise.

My brother was judging at the tower the weekend Ian was at the Winter Gardens - had good laugh with him and some of the other judges there

He swept her round the floor so thoroughly that it still has a lovely shine

He said in the Twitter clip after the dance that he felt he had to say something otherwise people would be wondering why he was so upset after the dance/marks.

Zoe brought his father up tonight, not him.

He mentioned it as a reason for his focus . What on earth is the problem ?

Louise looked good - if she can bring the intensity it could be a good dance. I am still waiting to be wowed by her - I thought I would be this past weekend as I love Big Spender but it was a little flat IMHO.

Didn't he just say that it was a difficult week for him? Tonight I don't think that he mentioned his dad.

He can say what he likes, but wouldn't it have been even better for his dad's privacy not to mention it at all.
