I think the others have had more negative comments on here. To me, it comes across like they see them as a threat to their favourite and are saying things about them in the hope that mud sticks.

Thought he handled the whole business really well . Gave a reason why he was upset without compromising his familys privacy . And then just got on with the job in hand
Grown to really like Danny and am enjoying his dances and his work ethic
He gets my votes every week for sheer hard grind great dances

C'mon Louise! You go girl

She's looking fab, great work with the skirt and that back bend, wow!

I hadn't heard of the song 'Explosive' before and was worried... I LOVE IT! If anyone can make a great paso to that tune it's Kev!

It looks like Rinder has a proper salsa and is doing it well.

Louise looks good but contained as always. I wish she'd put more emotion in the dance.

I hope Claudia training film was from early in the week and that Danny gets in the character of the Charleston. Not sure of Ore's also.

Looking like an interesting close Saturday.

There hasn't been one celebrity I've disliked this year. Melvin wasn't really around long to register either way to be honest but I can't say I've disliked anyone. I''d invite every man jack one of them to be metaphorical BBQ although I'd slip Naga a few sneaky beers as I think she could do with loosening up a bit.

Agreed. His family are not in the 'business' so he does not have to explain to anyone in detail about the personal stuff from last week. He would then be accused of trying to gain sympathy votes.

Really looking forward to his & Oti's Charleston but do feel a bit sorry for them having three high energy dances in a row. Even the Samba is fast if they had done that as was originally planned.

I agreed and I've talked about this with my friends vis a vis Will Young. You don't own people just because they're famous or because they're on a reality show. They do not have to tell their personal business because it's like personal. I wish Danny and his dad all the best and I hope that whatever the matter is he derives some comfort watching his son dance so well which he does and that this doesn't get on top of Danny and drive him out of the competition.

I'd seriously have them all round to mine to any theoritical party I'd hold. I might spike Naga's drinks to get her to loosen up a bit but I'd have them all round without a second thought. Metaphorically of course.

Clearly he set out to garner sympathy by giving his dad having a heart attack . What's even worse is that he's so bad at it that most of the public haven't figured it out despite him pushing it in our faces by not mentioning it and keeping busy.

Just watching the training footage - Rinder looks really really good.

Oh his dad had a heart attack

Gawd, I worry more about the mindset of anyone using that to have a pop at Danny as opposed to Danny using that as a way to get a sympathy vote. It's bound to be on your mind and it's natural to channel some of those emotions into your performance (bit like Daisy and her granddad).

Thanks for clearing up the mystery for me, I wasn't sure if he'd mentioned the reason or not cos I joined their interview 30 seconds late and heard him talk about his dad without specifying anything.

I will be massively amused if Rindy can make the full leap from Komedy Konstestant to Real Contender and tops the leaderboard with a salsa.

Like many others, I like all of them this year. Nobody I'm actively rooting against, although I did occasionally want to lean through the screen and yell "relax!" at Naga (which would have been so helpful to the poor girl). Still have minor yearnings to whisper to Louise "You'll look much sillier if you don't invest than if you do" but otherwise, nope, not a bad thing to say about anyone.

I know it's a bit contrarian but I'm really enjoying this series a lot partly because there's nobody to dislike.

Zoe brought the subject up so he had to mention it, but he didn't go into any detail because its none of our business. Equally people on DS were saying how they thought he and Oti had a falling out because he looked upset with her Saturday/Sunday so maybe he felt it would be better to explain a little the reason he looked upset?

LOL, my thoughts exactly Considering how many people bemoan his scoring at times and how he is so hard done by, hehe.

Exactly!
It's a telly show for cryin' out loud.

No surprises with the questions, as Zoe has them written down on the cards she's holding. So he knew it was coming, so had a prepared answer.

TV is often very much, "carefully rehearsed spontaneity."

Evening everyone.

48 hours until the show goes... somewhere. Not sure where. You'd think they would have mentioned it.
