All the Pro's, eliminated or not, will be in Blackpool for the group dances.

Always loved Tony, from his first Baldric days in Blackadder. Now a days I watch his documentaries more, very interesting stuff. I did find it a little annoying how Zoe kept cutting him off to move along to the next couple, I know she had to, but I would have preferred listening to him some more.

I just caught up on ITT and saw the segment with Robert's one-word answers. I thought it was really funny, and actually you could hear the others laughing in the background as he did it as well. Plus it gave Oksana plenty of chance to chat too. He's been criticised for talking too much, now he's being criticised for talking too little - but one thing's for sure, he won't gush meaningless platitudes. I love him for that!

Gethin was asking his usual Friday questions and Robert's face was a bit like thunder and he gave just one word answers and then looked down to his knees. I think there were about 3 questions and the silences were extremely uncomfortable. In fact, Roberts behaviour was just ugly IMO.

I think Robert Rinder has a very dry sense of humour which is easy to miss, and perhaps doesn't always come over on TV, or doesn't suit everyone. I took his remarks tonight to be joking. Mind you, I wouldn't blame anyone for getting short with Gethin, I find him intensely irritating, he never stops long enough to get anything interesting out of the dancers and flits around under everybody's feet. He must be a nightmare in the cramped costume department.

I agree. If it was a joke it was very misjudged indeed as it didn't come across that way at all.

These two should go on the road with that act, they were brilliant together Brendan is a natural straight man to Anton's funny man, hehe.

It clearly did to Louise, Kevin, Ed and Katya because there was laughter in the background. Maybe it didn't translate on TV.

I kinda like Craig on ITT, he drops the pantomime villain act and gives it to us straight and most times explains why he gave so and so their score. I don't think he was at all impressed by that new game of Zoe's though. He looked rather pissed off, lol. He would have probably enjoyed questions from the public but as soon as he saw it was pro's and contestants picking at his previous comments or marks he wanted none of it.

I agree with you but this isn't a one-off. Janette sometimes posts backstage vids. In the one for Movie Week she asked all the celebs what their favourite movie of all time was and R Rinder's response was that "asking anybody what their favourite anything is puerile". I didn't get even a hint of humour, it did come across however as disdainful, condescending and as you say unpleasant.

On the other hand Ed's favourite was "Some Like It Hot" so he's clearly a man of taste

Somethings obviously annoyed him, that's the quietest and least energetic I've ever seen him on Strictly. He couldn't even manage a smile. I doubt it can be just weariness, the others would be equally as tired but they put up a performance for Gethin and smiled. Very odd.

Maybe he is tired of how much effort is going into bigging Ed up and shouting his positive contributions from the rooftops. He has been in the papers this week, Ore was defending him on breakfast TV, two of the Friday panel couldn't stop saying how great he is and Zoe has been beside herself all week whenever his name came up. It must get frustrating for other contestants and whereas most put on a smiley face to hide it, he I guess lets his true feelings show ... and really, why not?

I love Ed the Strictly celeb dancer but not his taste in films! Still he's better than the pro dancers whose taste, fro answered to a poll about two years ago, was dreadful.

And to make it even worse they put in training VT's we've already seen earlier in the week, mostly with Ian, and that's really scraping the bottom of the barrel if they have to do that.

Im not just talking about tonight which by the way Gethins interviews were from Blackpool so they could have easily done it! I would rather a mix of the eliminated pros than Gethin every week!

But you can't be sure of that, its an assumption. I thought he was mucking around to at the start, but it went on to long and didn't have a pay off at the end of even a smile. Plus his remarks about needing medication to be better than Ed felt a little ... below the belt maybe?

Just caught up with ITT RE Rinder: I must say despite liking everyone this year, I'm still not entirely sure how to take him really. He seems lovely on the whole but there's times where he just seems needlessly blithe to a point where it looks rude. I felt like he was being unnecessarily blunt towards Gethin but his comment towards Ed via Katya having quote unquote banter was below the belt and actually quite meanspirited. Oksana seems strained sometimes too. Anyway, I suppose I'm trying to say, this isn't really a one-off, he's done it a few times and it makes me pause a bit.

Oh, I agree, don't get me wrong. Gethin's interviews are always cringe worthy in the Friday show, he is a terrible interviewer and I would also prefer to hear opinions from the Pro's and the celebs who have already left. But then I suppose the celebs would not want to talk bad about anyone so we'd be left with the usual 'they are all so good' and the never gets old 'I can't choose who will go, I love them all'. Actually that was one thing I did like about this Friday panel, other than Tony, that they all gave a name to go this weekend, very refreshing.

I thought Tony said Judge Rinder would go?

Rob Rinder was had his tongue firmly in his cheek. He's been criticised for talking too much and he had a half smile on his face.

Rinder also gave Gethin some strangely obtuse answers about three or four weeks ago on a Friday ITT. That was a jarring moment, this was more so. Now I am wondering if Gethn has any friends who are enemies of the judge.

I disagree, I thought it was funny! Depends on your sense of humour, I suppose.
