Ah, Oti - we do know it will be exciting, and thrashy and quick and pointy and showy though.”

I take it you're not keen?

He's a decent enough chap, he dances very well. He will win.

He bores me to tears.

I find it incredible that anyone could say that samba bored them .

I quite agree! But we all have our favourites.

And what Latin and ballroom experience is this exactly? To be fair to Oti, she is supposed to be experienced ... she's the pro so I think we'll let her off.
How come Louise is 'one of the rest' now as far as previous dance training is concerned? Is it because she's not as good? Is this why nobody said 'ringer' about Patsy Kensit though she went to a school for performing arts?
Danny is putting in just as much work if not more than the others. Surely though he should just walk in off the street ... he knows all there is to know about dance. Could probably dance a Paso in his sleep!!!
Please can we go back to the sensible Jill Halfpenny days when nobody gave a fig, they just wanted to see great dancing. Actually, most of the viewing public are sensible about it.

I wonder how many posts we'll get this year saying that the office/workplace/friends at the pub/acquaintances at the bus stop/whole wide world didn't know and were shocked - when told by poster - to find out that Danny is 'highly trained'

It was very good. Not to my taste but so what.

I've watched it several times, actually trying to feel a thrill, but no.

He is superbly competent and showy, and for me has little charisma and I'm never on the edge of my seat.

I tend to base my judgement of a dance on the goosebump factor. His quickstep did that for me, but I genuinely felt nothing similar for any of his other performances. He does a big, showy routine - and for me it's like "sooo, what's new?"

He just never surprises or thrills me, he's great for Strictly, I suppose.

I should say I enjoyed their interview this evening though. They seem to have a partnership based on mutual respect and admiration.

Don't get hung up on a bit of hyperbole ducky.

I haven't actually shed a tear, that would be a strong reaction.

I suppose when you have another contestant you like a lot more it can make you feel more strongly against their competitors.

To be honest from a couple of weeks in I haven't understood how you couldn't enjoy Danny & Oti's dancing - he has really thrown himself into it and you can see how much he loves it.

But again we all take differently to a variety of people for reasons both rational and sometimes not. Not always easily explainable.

I was referring to his performance rather than his dancing technique. He has done shows etc giving him a big advantage over the others. He is also an actor, so his acting skills wil be a bonus too.

Certainly not hung up !! Life is way too short to get over invested in a reality show to be honest .

I thought it was a great dance from Danny and Oti and deserved the marks but that style of samba is not to my taste - I never liked Kevins tribal style samba with Anna Melnikova either my fave dance of Dannys this season so far is the QS

I absolutely get that . I am not over keen on Kevin and Louise but can't say they bore me ! I watch with interest and even a bit of amazement at the dresses etc . Even if the dance is awful there is still lots to comment on !

Don't speak too soon, I might be first in angrily shouting that Danny's been undermarked on Saturday and the judges are trying to rig everything

Totally get that too. Ditto not a massive fan of them but Kevin certainly brings a certain... something to the show! Can't fault him for lack of enthusiasm that's for sure.

This is how I felt about Jay. To this day, I don't understand the hype around his Jive.

That's because she isn't a "ringah" and you cannot possibly compare her dance experience to that of Danny or Louise for that matter.

Yeah, this is the same for me too actually.

I don't think I was ever excited by one of his dances and felt he didn't really emote well in his dances. Though we're definitely in the minority on that

Yay, someone who agrees with me.

For me, he didn't have much of a personality. I watched his jive a couple of times to see if I could love it but it didn't work. Apart from the Jive, I can't remember any of his dances.

I liked Jay, but can understand that reaction.
