In all fairness though if you make a mistake you are annoyed with yourself . You dont think of it as on a scale of Strictly boo boos
Danny was also quick to say that a bad dance on the grand scale of life was not the end of the world

Yeah that's true I guess. I think it's more to do with one of those "how far have you come" / "how much would it mean" VTs they did last week featuring all the contestants where Danny's Foxtrot came up and was spoken about like it was a massive low point. In reality, I think most folk had forgotten about him messing up a small section (the red tape is what stands out when I recall that routine), and as you say Danny had a healthy "it's not life or death" attitude to things at the time. I just feel it's been turned into a bigger deal than it was. I know he wouldn't be making comparisons against the spectrum of previous Strictly 'disasters' but for me it was more in line with Alesha and Matt improvising a short section of their Waltz (?).
who me?

I think it's more the thing that if you practise all week and then go on live tv and have a blank moment when you probably don't expect to after a week of memorising the routine...it can happen again, especially with two dances.
I will never ever forget standing in front of a congregation and totally blanking when our sunday school group were doing a little presentation. Someone had to whisper the entire the thing. All my family were there...urgh! I blame the fancy frock (I was a tomboy) It was only two lines too!

Lots of famous stage actors get sick with stage fright however brilliant they are. Danny is a perfectionist. he does get extra anxious before a performance and I think still struggles with promoting 'himself' as a character. But I also think he seems pretty grounded so while it's a fear (maybe a necessary fear to perform?) after the event it's not the end of the world if it goes wrong as he said after the foxtrot. Which was kind of what he said wasn't it? That it was a turning point because it went wrong but they got over it? I can't remember exactly.

An unnecessary comment. Why anyone would write it unless they were interested in reigniting disputes themselves, I do not know.

I can remember reading about Laurence Oliver being so crippled by stage fright that when he was on stage as Othello, the person playing Iago had to stay in his line of sight at all times to keep him focused and no one could look him in the eyes on stage - and he used to literally vomit before each performance.

You can only assume that the joy and satisfaction of performing outweighed the sheer terror of getting there!

I dont think Strictly Saturday is live... at least 30mins delayed.

according to all FMs who have been lucky to get tickets, not one reported it's not live.

If there was a delay then Tess wouldn't have the need to apologise for any of Bruno's bloopers.

People who have been in the Audience would disagree. They don't have their watches taken away during the show.

The dances up for judging are all performed live as broadcast.

You do realise, group dances are pre-recorded. Has been known for the guest artist appearing on the Sunday show to be recorded a couple of weeks earlier. Just not practical to have every part of the show live as broadcast. Whilst it might be interesting to see the dance-floor transformed between each couples routine. Would get pretty repetitive after a while, so we have the training footage and random sketches as filler, they are not live.

How can you say this, they haven't danced yet. Wait until you've seen all 4 dances before you make your opinion.

She maybe a good dancer & a nice person but is rather vanilla.

Once again he doesn't
Unless your a telepath or you heard it from the horse's mouth, how can you claim you know exactly what Ore thinks or believes

Well I hope both Ore and Claudia goes through to the final, at least there should have celebs in the final to carry the torch for the untrained dancer.”

I am glad I posted something that you thought worthy of such an indepth reply!

As I posted in my original comment, it was all my opinion so I don't need to be telepathic.

While you appear to believe that it is more important for someone to carry the torch for untrained dancers to be in the final I personally prefer to see the better dancers get through.

As I repeat once more - just my personal opinion, at the end of the day the public will vote for who they prefer to win however some people seem to be unable to value the opinion of others and appear to be so focussed on who they want to win they appear unable to have an unbiased conversation.

I know sundays are not live... but Im sure the actual dancing is slightly delayed... they apologise because they got no time to edit the continuity... but Im sure they cover technical faults with slight delay.

I wanna ask the mole what time exactly the first couple dance this weekend.

Yes I am an Ore supporter and I won't make any apologies about this. But being a realist I know he won't make the final this weekend, which saddens me a great deal, so I do not have any delusions that he will win.

I just wish some ppl would give Ore a break and stop trashing him or making snide comments about his personality or his abilities as a dancer or Presenter.

A few seconds delay is not the same as 30 minutes as per your earlier claim.

More than few seconds... lol
Let's ask the mole to time the first performance... it is on at 18.50 this weekend... I would be very surprise if the actual dancing is on 18.55.

If there was any sort of delay they wouldn't have aired Bruno yelling BOLLOCKS last year for a start.

EDIT : I see this has already been addressed but I'm not editing that out, not now I've said it

Of course it won't be. They might have an opening routine plus it takes a good few minutes to introduce "Our Strictly Stars" and the judges, then clear them all off the floor and show training VT for the first couple whilst they bring on any props.

The time to check is when the first couple starts dancing, not the start of the show. There is a small delay for anyone viewing on HD through cable or satellite, let alone "on demand".

It is for all shows, I have HD downstairs via sky & freeview upstairs, there is always a delay of a fraction of a second via freeview

No-one needs to apologise for who they support BUT just because other people have an opposing view doesn't mean you should become blinkered.

I know nothing about Danny, I have never seen Hollyoaks and couldn't care less that he has been in a few musicals I DO watch Strictly and would be blind if I didn't see how talented a dancer he is.

I have always liked Louise, she isn't a glam WAG, she seems to be a very nice wife and mother, I also can see how good a dancer she is.

Claudia is a lovely girl, a real star for team GB and very talented but is probably (IMHO) the 3rd best dancer there.

I am a sports fan and my preferred morning TV programme is Breakfast on the BBC - before he even appeared on Strictly I didn't like his style of presenting but that was all I knew, I didn't have a clue about whether he had any dance training or not, I CANNOT see him as a better dancer than the others because he hasn't had any previous training. I also thought he was overmarked and over praised in the early days of this series and his grizzling put me off in a BIG way, before anyone makes comment I wouldn't like seeing a woman grizzle the way he did either. I also do NOT think he is the best dancer so this is why he is my choice to go out next.

As I keep repeating (and boring myself ) the public will decide who goes on Saturday and who wins the glitter ball trophy.

Surely as fans of the programme we are capable of respecting other people's OPINIONS even if they are different to our own?
