They all want to get to the final and I'm sure they'd all rather do that without anyone else going home. But yes responding to lots of people (and certainly also the panel on ITT lately) who seem to think it comes easily to Danny by saying how many hours they're doing is just that...responding to that criticism. They can all work long hours too.
Pushing the I've never danced before line is something that Louise and Danny can't actually compete with so yes there's a difference. But if I'd been in the dance off I'd do it too probably.

If Ore can get some of his early fire back it should be a cracking semi final.

And here's hoping for a great rumba from Claudia, still not convinced on the QS

But those with other commitments can't compete with putting in the same hours either, so I don't see the point

I think he's been stifling his natural exuberance lately...(or maybe just worn out) it's a bit of a slog , but I thought his latest practise looked good.

Those with other commitments don't have to clock in though...nobody need know how many hours they do, ITT don't do a league table anymore...but they haven't been accused of it coming easily so they don't need to.

And equally, many on DS have dismissed Danny and Louise's previous training as inconsequential, so perhaps they could both go for the "this is all new to us" angle too?

We can all spin a different angle.

People sign up for the show and will commit whatever time they can spare.

If you know you have trouble absorbing information, you make sure you have the extra time. If you do not have that issue then you can choose to do fewer hours, or fit things round other jobs. If however, you do not plan for enough time, an early exit will be likely.

Like all things in life, you get out what you put in. After all, they get the same fees for reaching this stage of the competition, whether they go on to win, or lose out on the next show.

Oh, I totally understand that.

I will clarify at this point, however, that I was not the original poster who put a negative slant on the words of a contestant(s), I merely responded in kind

I LOVED tonight's show - seriously good fun.

The dresses seemed fine, nice to see Vicky, who I just find ridiculously lovely.

Ore's QS looked pretty good.

The pro challenge was bloody HILARIOUS. I think Katya was serious, but Neil was RIDICULOUS, and he did it with theatrical gusto, and I LOVED it.

I've been waiting to see what he is actually like, now I think he's enormous FUN.

Claudia was lovely, really smashing girl. And I LOVED that she loved the Rhumba. I do too. And people say it's 'boring', but it's absolutely thrilling to dance and I adore it.

As you might think.

I hope she really pulls that one out of the bag, she's UNDERSTANDING what dancing is now and she's a determined hard worker with respect for what she's doing.

Not convinced about the QS though.

Great show.

Have you actually thought that he might have decided to take a work hiatus so he could concentrate solely on this show for a few months? Let's face it, they've asked him for four years!

I take it you don't follow their twitter

Honestly, you'd think by this point DS wouldn't surprise me with how ludicrous it can be but nope!”

Wow ! He might not take the jive challenge seriously but it seems you take criticism of it very seriously !!

Oh, bloomin' 'eck!

Listen, I'm really not that bothered about the hours Danny trains.

My point was that if Claudia/Ore are supposedly being manipulative in stating they had no previous training, then why can't the same be applied to Danny stating how many hours he's been putting in?

If people want to just focus on one aspect of the discussion, and blindly ignore the other - that's fine.

Exactly.

The argument isn't difficult to understand.

All sorted - thank you very much!

If you'll excuse me, I need to take some time to clean out my mind.

I hadn't realised it was such a mucky place!

Honestly, I couldn't give a flying fxxk about hours trained, previous dance training, gymnastic skills etc etc and on it goes! I kinda wish Danny had been shit, that really would've blown the stage school shit out of the water, and wasn't concentrating solely on scd, you might've left him alone then! Two of you really seem to have taken against him, god knows why, he must feel a threat to your favs, which I assume are Claudia and ore! Would love to bite back, but they have not offended me, just their blinkered, one track fans!

Nothing terrible was SAID, stop having a paddy, it's ridiculous.

And Nina was just RESPONDING to another poster and using RATIONALITY to do it. It's called 'argument'.

Yep, the only two on the forum with any sort of myopic favouritism. Just us.

Thank you for the laugh.

Funny thing is, I think yesterday the only time I've genuinely criticised Danny.

I've been complimentary of a few of his dances before, and his partnership with Oti - just another example of seeing what you want to see.

I've seen plenty worse directed towards other contestants, but because some of these opinions are more "populist" views, they are acceptable. Meh!

Obviously you can criticise the others but Danny is 'off limits' because some of his fans are well....

precious like about the smallest thing.

Or they're a bit mad.
