Me too, exactly the sort of number I was hoping for from Jo and Ore.

I can't believe Oti did that jump with a broken contact lens . Wow what a lady to risk it

Louise must be an incredibly nice and engaging person because fellow celebs fall over themselves to say lovely things about her. No doubt if I'd met her, I'd want her to win too. But I haven't, and I don't.

Louise is lovely, but it also helps that she's dancing with Kevin WHO MUST WIN AT ALL COSTS (according to TPTB)

I'm getting Tom Chambers Showdance vibes from OJo's choice of music- it could well be epic. And with an impassioned emotional tune for D'Oti, I feel like this could be theirs to lose if it goes too contempowafty/Bacofoil. Fingers crossed...

I am sure Oti will get it right. She hasn't messed up apart from the one with the ribbon.

I don't think it is overrated. What stands out for me about their jive was that Jill Halfpenny out danced Darren Bennett (especially towards the end of the routine). That's very unusual for a celebrity.

I am sure she is lovely but its not a " nice lady " competition ! I don't want her to win either !

Yes, I'm starting to think people (mostly celebrities brought onto the panel) have forgotten that this isn't a "nicest mummy ever!" contest.

Especially as she's very short sighted, looking at her glasses. Danny would have been just an indistinct blur as she launched herself, hoping he'd catch her at the end of it !

Sorry, only just had a chance to get to my lappy!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Darren Gough!! I've never seen him speak about his win before, but how modest was he? We all knew Colin Jackson lost the win due to that awful show dance, but Gough was really quite humble wasn't he? He really endeared himself to me!

As for show dances, Tom Chambers is still my favourite by a country mile. Even when see it now, it still gives my goose bumps. I know others have their own favourites and that's fine too.

Ooh!! Saturday is going to be SO exciting-I can't wait. I'd be happy if any of the three won.

Nice to see the party line also encompases saying that Ore's quickstep and Louise's samba were littered with errors.

Give it a rest and get your facts right.

They had to change the rules and say that no-one would be eliminated because, no matter how many votes he got, Tom would have been eliminated which would mean that those who spent money voting would have spent it for nothing. The BBC wouldn't be allowed to have people wasting their money and Ofcom wouldn't have allowed them to do that either.

Because it was the existing rules that caused the situation, they had to refund anyone who asked for it.

It was more a contemporary routine with a bit of VW added with some lifts. I also feel that Danny is rather ungainly in his footwork. It certainly lost its impact for me, the second time around and I noticed more mistakes, perhaps it was the pressure of being in the DO.

Claudia on the other hand, danced a sublime QS,even better second time around, it was very very good indeed. It was a complex routine that would not have looked out of place on a competition floor outside of Strictly. The frame, footwork and energy put into the dance was superb. Not overdanced, but danced with controlled energy. They covered the floor extremely well and Claudia made it look very natural.

I am unbiased as I don't favour any couple in particular, I am watching the dancing only and will "judge" on that.

There is absolutely no doubts in my mind that based on the dance off only, Claudia should have stayed. Quality of movement wins for me, every time.”

There was a lot of authentic samba content, which I was pleased to see but the one major thing that was missing in my opinion, was the emphasis on the different timings within the samba. She was dancing the steps but not accentuating the timing properly which made it look rather one paced. Had she have been able to have done that, and added the performance factor, we would have been looking at a different dance.”

Thanks for this ... it's nice to hear a neutral (and reasoned) opinion amid all the fanwarz/wuzrobbed noise.
who me?

I regularly hear him on Talksport and he's often got a bit of a ribbing about Strictly (in a nice way ) so plenty of time to build up the humility. Harry Redknap (Louise's dad-in-law) is on their a lot too.

And that would legitimise her appraisal of the AT wouldn't it?

Very clever. But not quite clever enough...

Enjoyed the show tonight but was it 3 times we were told that "everyone" loves Louise? Its ridiculous - I don't remember anyone on ITT saying that everybody loves Ore, or that Danny is a wonderful person so should win. I'm not saying that Louise isn't a nice person, but constantly being told that she is seems a bit insulting to the others IMO.

No, I think the point was that maybe it's not the party line at all.

So you're happy that the AT was worth 39? Regardless of the participants?

I agree and even as a Louise supporter I take on board what Jennifer F has to say because she is so unbiased as are many in the Dancers thread.

But the public seem to like Louise, as I do. Maybe they find her refreshing or something, I don't know, I find it hard to express why I like her also. I just do and think over the series she has danced some lovely pieces. Nice to have a counter to the flash also.

Anyway my point was that they now know she is pretty popular so will go with that narritve.
