Awww no . She's actually my least favourite judge. Just seems to waffle on and offer nothing substantive. Someone should tell her to make notes before she speaks.

Would it not be better to have a Latin/ballroom person as the head judge?
Yes indeed. Talks rubbish most of the time, awards marks like, er, someone who likes young men, so let's give her two votes in the dance-off.

In these types of shows, the audience always irritate me!
Similar in the actual show when the audience go into raptures over the most basic dance move.

*does a clap or shouts something*

*audience proceeds to stamp holes through the floor, all the while screaming and crying with adoration*

*celebrity performs professional level routine with blindfold suspended above a shark tank*

*mild applause*

The only thing that has bugged me about Ore is his awareness of every camera - even during a dance winking at it and sticking his tongue out!
I like it, it's part of his performance and includes the audience.

Your loyalty does you credit, Rhumba. Still not sure you're serious, though!!

It's not loyalty, it's understanding. Ore is a PRESENTER, he works on the understanding that there are PEOPLE behind the camera and he includes them.

Danny is an ACTOR, he works on the understanding that you NEVER look at the camera.

And I think Ore has his tongue firmly in his cheek when he does it, and it's very occasional and brief.

Haha there'll be no women left standing if Darcey gets her way.

Seriously though, the head judge should be a ballroom/Latin expert to maintain the show's credibility.

TBH I wouldn't miss Darren if she left at all. I think she's been poor this year.

Funnily enough I think its Ore who is acting a part . He knows the camera , knows the audience and in my opinion is playing a role . He plays the " humble beginner " role on ITT and at the judges table . To judges when they praise, the outstretched hand then brought back to his mouth and the widened eyes look very placed to me .

As you say, Ore is a presenter, a very good presenter precisely because he invites the viewer into his point of view. During his dances, he does the same thing, his musicality is just wonderful to see, he accentuates the point with his facial expression.

I just love him. I've rooted for him from that wonderful moment when he first met his pro partner at the launch and they clicked, just like that.

Nah, he's a bit theatrical, not an actor nor acting.

Imagine if a Hollyoaks or EE actor did those moves

I also think he's a rather nervous and unsure of himself. When he's got a 'job', he does it really naturally - he's not used to 'reality' stuff.

I really feel he's misunderstood.

You'd like to be able to think that.

But you don't not really, because you are not a fool

I think you are having a very interesting conversation. In the opening show and dance I thought Ore was marvellous but all series I've been up and down with him - and Jo. I want to like him and support him but I find I don't believe him. As ducky says I find his feeling responses placed. Let's say he is misunderstood; I like the idea of him as a presenter understanding the use of camera. I think he has contributed to being misunderstood though.

Nonetheless and ultimately, he is he most charismatic celeb left and I'll watch him with interest.

I think he does 'doublethink' himself a bit - this is why I say 'nervous'.

When his wife said 'just be who you are, I love you', I thought that was done a bit intensely , as if she knows he's a bit all over the place.

No, you know I'm not 'in love' with him, and therefore I am not blind.

And you respect my point of view ESPECIALLY when I agree with you.

Pretty much the way he comes across to me. Overly self-aware and rather calculating.

I was pleased they didn't go with the ''I didn't dance at my own wedding, " thing again tonight because that suggests someone who is shy and needs to come out of his shell. Yet he was confident enough to do Let's Dance for Comic Relief so that feels disingenuous. I don't know, maybe he had a sprained ankle for the wedding or maybe it's different in front of family and friends but he seems well and truly out of his shell to me (and in his presenting for the Olympics which I enjoyed) (less so on This Morning so it may be a comfort zone thing.)
And in fairness other people have brought it up...but he did stand next to Claudia looking humble when she said it on SCD.

I hope they drop all that tomorrow and just let them dance and that can speak for itself because I think they could all win, could all deserve to win and it should be a brilliant final. Which I haven't thought for a while with the finals.

Call me cynical but that seems to be more about giving people less time to complain about how unfair certain choice(s) are going to be than about giving us all nice surprises.
