I find it funny to think of Rachel taking offense to any of the nice things Pasha says to or about the dance partners he gets paid to teach on a TV entertainment show (that she knows all about because she's done the show herself). Pasha says all the regular lovely things that all the Pros try to say when they get eliminated.

The only thing he needs to learn is that over used phrase: One of ...(the nicest, the best, the most entertaining). Of course it wouldn't be something to talk about if he did, so whatever you do, don't tell him.

I am a fan of Pasha, its sad he's not going to be on the show again on Saturday.

Take heart Terry, he'll still be in the Pro dances. Who knows, they might even get him to do a backstage bit like Brendan did.

Thank you anothermi I didn't think of that, I feel much better now.

He'll almost certainly be doing next week's backstage bit. That's the pattern...the eliminated pro does the following week's behind the scenes piece.

You are absolutely right! Ballroom posture should never be applied to AT. It is not a ballroom dance and AT dancers move in and out of the embrace (we do not call it a hold) all the time. There is also more than one style and each has a sightly different embrace and body posture from the loose Nuevo style to the formal and precise Salon.

There are a couple of AT experts on the Jay/Aliona appreciation thread. So even non-believers who are interested might want to mosey on down there for some very interesting information and analysis. Unfortunately, you'd have to wade through a lot of things you're not interested in if you're not particularly into that couple, but if you look for the correct date and time (i.e. sometime after their AT - I think it was something like half a day?) you should find the posts. They're quite long ones, so that might make them easier to locate. Unfortunately, I can't remember the names of the posters - sorry! But someone else who inhabits that thread might have a better memory than me. If you do go there though, please remember that it's an appreciation thread - there's loads of other places for you to post any negative comments you might have if you're so inclined.

This is very true, us Ballroom dancers can find it difficult, but not impossible, to try and adopt the correct posture for AT. Totally different. The embrace for AT is also very different compared to Ballroom tango, that takes some getting used to as well, after years of ballroom hold.

That charleston didn't look entirely effortless to me Zoe, there were a few synchronicity problems.

Evening

I've barely seen any of the show this year. I've been working all weekend and I'm in on Mondays now. I've had no time
