What was that with Rollo and her
Remember their free morality and tendency for threesomes Plus Rollo has clearly always loved her.....

Twass. I recommend those Fairisle style leggins for warmth.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/River-Isla...-/201520777809

Because of the way the pattern is woven in they are effectively two ply which means they are really warm, owing to airpockets woven in 3 dimensions, so to speak.

I have two pairs. I wouldn't be seen out dead in them (although would if I were 20 years younger) but I wear them indoors and knocking about outside and they are really warm especially under joggers or loosish trousers. I am not sure you would get them inside jeans unless the jeans were a bot too big usually.

Thanks for this An! [you lurker ] I actually have two pairs of thick knit Aran ones which are very warm, plus three pairs of fleece lined leggings. I need 'em living here and also for kipping in at festivals....camping in fields is all very well if you are twenty and full of alcowol and drugs. You feel the cold when you're as old as me and stop before you get totally rat arsed

I pop in most days just to see what is happening. But I can't contribute much to the Viking discussion... or so I thought.

I hadn't heard of Aran leggins so I did a Google search and stumbled across this. I thought these woudl be perfect for you Vikingophiles to wear when indulging your passions. They are Celtiic but its close enough.

Yes I know!!!!!

Had they been under £50 I may have bought one for my best friend's birthday. She suits thouse sludgy Autumn colours really well. I can't wear them but she looks fabulous in those stone and lichen colours.

I love those colours, I find my Autumnal wraps/scarves in charity shops for a quid each though

The Aran leggings came from Primani. I'm a classy bird

Very beautiful. I used to look good in those colours, but feel a bit drab in them now. Mind you I have several pairs of M&S black woolly tights circa 1990 which keep me warm all winter!
