In total awesomeness. For me, watching the whole lot a second time was just brilliant. I got things I missed first time around. I know planets has seen it loads of times but I could watch this over and over. I loved the first series, young Ragnar finding his way, with Lagertha and his children.....loved all the series and the developments and the characters.

I think in the next series a lot will change.......and many years will pass.

I think the whole thing has been spellbinding, and the fact that so many of these people existed and are documented. I saw something the other night about York and it was mentioned that the city was captured by Ivar the Boneless ... ding ding!

Really can't wait for the next, it is probably just as well we are finished for the moment as it gets busy from hereon in.

Now off to see the cows, then I have a funeral to go to (distant neighbour) so catch you later. It's been a pleasure!!

Sorry I nipped away to put sheets on the spare bed as youngest daughter is coming tomorrow.... yes it is the most spellbinding thing! I saw that clip on Ivar the Boneless and they showed him walking perfectly on normal legs......but there are various versions of why he was called that name. Some annals have him being carried into battle, so maybe he had spina bifida or something similar. We will never know I guess!

It was a great way to spend our wintery afternoons

Have a lovely time with your daughter! Something else I saw on Ivar reckoned he might have been impotent!

It was a fab way to spend the wintery afternoons, they are getting brighter every day
