For defence and keeping warm purposes only

Well, we'll need those then!

*brings in warm chocolate brownies and inserts in chin-proof safe, activates electric fence*

I have a great idea for you TK. I know how farmers diversify to make ends meet these days and you have land which I am hoping is fairly wild and windswept. It is very definitely Celtic and has Viking heretige. You could have a Viking themed festival weekend and fill the farm with hoards of fee paying visitors.

What a brilliant idea!! I'd be first on the list of ticket holders And you could sell chunks of farm meat to all the would be vikings to scoff with their ale and barley bread

Hi folks, just in. Spent the afternoon having back tooth removed. Done everything to save it, root canal and several repairs over the last three years, but it was finally finished. Sipping coffee through a straw.

Er, the Viking festival idea. Only if they can all bring a four wheel drive tractor each! Ground is impassable for the next few months, and then we'll be cutting silage. Would have been fun though!

You need some of the chicken broth I've just been supping, really soft and full of goodness. *brings brimming bowl*

Shame about the Viking idea, the farm here has some proper screamers in the calving pens this evening....the lights are on up there all night what with the sheep starting to lamb as well. As it's only 50 yards from my front gate it's noisy!! But the fields are filling up with little ones which is all good

Bless you twass, exactly what I needed.

Yes everything is busy these days, but I'm under orders, no physical work for 24 hours minimum. So mr tk is on his own if a gang of cows decide to calve tonight

Yes, you do need to rest and let your gum heal. Anything strenuous could cause it to bleed. Perfect excuse for feets up, bowls of broth and ice cream!

Totally empahtise with you there. I had a tooth removed on the 1st of the month. Mine too had been through the wars. It had a filling maybe 20 years ago quite near the gum line. A few years ago a bit broke off and was repaired. Then before Christmas another repair but then in January, I think, a bit more broke and the dentist declared we were beaten.

The sad thing is that when he took it out the root was absolutely perfect and the jaw really didn't want to give it up. The dentist battled for quite some time to get it out. Very traumatic.

Unfortunately this is front tooth (4th from the middle) so it shows. I have had to have a fake tooth. At present it is rather uncomfortable and hurts if I bite on it, but with luck it will settle. Or I will come into enough money for an implant. In some ways the thought of it is the worst part and having to take it out. Although it is something of a relief when it comes out because of the discomfort, the whole business of a false tooth is pretty horrible.

Aw An, ouch! You have my sympathy, blooming teeth are a right pain when they start playing up.

At least mine is the last big molar so I don't need a falsie. Your gum must still be very tender, it's no wonder it's uncomfortable!

I must be imagining things, I thought I heard a noise from the chins proof safe ..

Yes, the cookies would be wasted on us at the moment. However I have very posh vanilla ice cream and a dish of thinly sliced banana (for nourishment) on the side, help yourself

No. Can't risk it I'm afraid. We have strict health and safety rules in here one must adhere to.
I've saved you a slice of banana.
The ice cream is long gone
