Oh I'd have them for brekky if that was the only real option.....when I go to Whitty I generally go in the very old fashioned chippy with a few sit down tables, and have a child's portion for lunch. Their idea of what a child would eat.....well it's plenty enough for me and I'm a greedy ho
![]() ![]() i'd never make it through a full size portion

I see other adults having the whopping portions for lunch, how they manage to eat that much is beyond me. It's like being in America! Foot long haddock and an alp of chips, with a vat of mushy peas. THere is a pub locally that does light bites for lunch, including a mini fish & chips. It's the perfect size!
...i'm watching a film with Ben Affleck in and i'm finding him attractive not sure whether this is a symptom of a more serious disease or just a side effect of long term morphine use...

Pah! Gardening! Trod on a rusty nail this morning and ended up having to go for a tetanus shot. I have antibiotics as well, but will only take those if infection sets in. Doc's advice
Ruined my wellies!! Still went out and finished the digging once back from the surgery

Yes, I am! I have already scoured the internet for another pair of black biker style wellies with studs and straps. I don't want to have to wear bog standard ORDINARY wellies!!
![]() Can't find any in my size. Bloomin nuisance!!!!So I ambled down to the shop in my lunch hour and saw how much they cost. Obviously she waned the most expensive ones as well. If she puts a hole in them i'm fixing them with a puncture repair kit or similar. Those wellies are going to last 100 years. (she actually says they're the most comfortable footwear she has ever owned). |

Ouch that sounds really painful. When I was at school a friend of mine stood on a nail sticking out from a goal post that was on the ground. It went right through her foot. I have never forgotten it. Odd thing was that at the time she was quite relaxed about it. She just sat there saying "Its gone through my foot" Not screaming in agony, just sort of amazed and curious that it was possible.
Thought of you earlier when I put a lamb bone on, because my had slipped on the pearl barley just like you did last week!! It will be more of a stew than a broth

Planets' World of Weirdness: When i was about 8 or 9 i had a 2 inch circle of my inner thigh pinched out by the hinge in the middle of a see-saw.....the nuns were taking me to the hospital because it looked like an abattoir and i was fine unless i looked at it.the doctor put his finger literally inside my thigh and waggled it around a bit and said "does this hurt" *raises eyebrow* luckily i was too young to have any swearing in my vocabulary.

That's pretty much how I reacted. Then I prised my booted foot off the plank with the nail sticking up and went inside to check out the damage. It's only a little hole tbh.....
