Evening all we had SUN today!! Frost in the morning, but hey ho!

Got to go to big town in the morning to collect some tractor parts, so will fit in a trip to Aldi. Very excited as a new TK Maxx has opened, never been in one before. I might explode

Now TKMaxx can be heaven or hell. Sometimes there are triffic bargains and very different things on offer, other times it looks like an expensive jumble sale. I hope you are lucky tk!!

We've had two days of simply glorious weather here and a few more set to come before the rain returns....I am orf to Hertfordshire for a couple of days, and should be returning on Monday.... seeing old work chums tonight and then seeing Talon [Eagles cover band we have seen many times] on Sunday with my usual gallivanting friend, then meeting another friend from when I lived in London on Monday before the return. I dearly love a gallivant

Hi p, we're back to cold and rain again here. Far as I know TK Maxx has nothing to do with me! Had a good old mooch round, didn't see anything I fancied, and it seemed far too expensive. Ah well, got a nice stew simmering in the slow cooker so all is not lost.

Oh big pile of creamy mash sounds lovely. Its ages since I last had mash. Might make cheesy mash tomorrow.

TK Maxx ALWAYS looks like an expensive jumble sale to me. I know there are bargains to be had but I just don't have that sort of patience. I get fed up after one rail.

Cheesy mash, using up several odd ends of cheese coming up. I plan to put finely sliced spring onions in too.

Glass of Spanish red while you wait anyone. Nothing fancy but fruity and drinkable.

Just mashing the spuds now. I have sauted some shredded savoy cabbage with cumin and sliced leeks and cranberries to go with it. Important to serve some greens I think.

It has but it seems to have warped my back door. I am now waiting for it to cool so I can shut it, with my fingers crossed that I can.

Not that hot but my back door faces the afternoon sun. Its a long story but in essence the whole door and window configuration had to be removed last year in order to get under the sill beneath. That was last November so I don't know if it is the heat that has warmed the plastic or if it is to do with this being the first weekend I have regularly been opening and closing the door since it went back in tha casing

The sun was shining here today, after the monsoon yesterday.

I'm with you on shopping, feckin hate it , that's why I love Penneys for socks/knickers/vests, add scarves, and the odd handbag. Flea markets
and charity shops for rummaging.
