Best not to risk things going mouldy in this heat
we don't want to attract vermin..

i had the back door open all day and when i went to make dinner there was the most enormous bee in the kitchen - at least an inch and a half - it was like bloody goldilocks trying to get a glass big enough to catch him without damaging him! eventually released him onto some butterfly lavender.....hope he tells his friends to come and pose for photographs

Watching an old Foyle on 3+1, forgot the outdoor scenes were filmed in Dublin. I also love Francesco's Venice, could listen to him all night!

And Britain just cast their 12 points for Georgia. Graham Norton laughed, commented it was a turn up for the books and asks who is on the jury for the UK with that tone in his voice (the one he uses for big red chair victims!)

Yeah just turned over, not good. Only ever watched to hear Sir Tel, and since 1994 not good. (Not a bit bitter, my favourite Fr Ted is Eourosong).

Now tomorrow we are taking a couple of hours off and going to Knock. Orders now for statues, medals and holy water. Nite

Graham is the only thing that makes it tolerable. But no the voting was dull and I missed the earlier part where he had more scope for mischief.

The voting with the juries seemed totally pointless as the bit i saw countries were getting hundreds of votes from viewers r something

LOL Ukriane won. Putin will be spitting feathers. Apparently he was desparate to win and has pumped zillions into getting the best writers, backing singers, producers etc. LOLOLOLOLOL . And the country he has occupied has won. Come to think of it the very name Putin has a feather spitting sort of sound to it.

Oh I am not claiming to understand it. I have been out at a Flamenco bash and came back put the TV on and haven't found the remote to change channels. Its academic really as I wasn't exaclty watching. I just like a background burble to fill the silence.

I haven't been in GD tonight I don't think.

Actually a Cuban friend I was fond of gave me a medal, necklace thing some years ago. It was Lazerous I think but they have sort of dovetailed saints with their religion from native African roots ( I can't think what they call it off the top of my head, but its Oshun, Changa and that lot - oh and an obsession with killing chickens). Anyway the necklace made me very uncomfortable and it wasn't attractive. But whether it was superstition or what on my part I couldn't bring myself to throw it away.

In fact when I moved in here I found a sizable wooden crucifix in the meter cupboard. I couldn't throw that away either, although I didn't want it in the place. I took it with me to the church hall one night when I was doing a tango class there and left it behind. I figured it would be happier there.

ETA - Santeria - Yoruba Orishas blended with Catholic Saints - double trouble.
