Ooh lovely, I'll help myself to a teeny prosecco and fairy cake. Have only just sat down! Our last cow looks like she will calve in the next few days, she is "bagging up" nicely.

oh i used to love them do they still exist?
For fourpence old money I could get a Witches hat....a rocket lolly with a small Mr Whippy cornet on top of it. Anything over sixpence was considered expensive by my mum....

I've not seen them in years planets. When I was young they were considered expensive.....I very rarely got one. As a young child the lolly I mostly had was a 3D - yes it cost threepence old money! They came in a wide variety of fruit ice and milk ice flavours. What a bargain

Anything over sixpence was considered expensive by my mum....i can't remember what they were called but i seem to remember plain lemon or orange ice lollies....perhaps that's why i like them best now? i remember the total over excited thrill of being taken to the cinema by the dad of my brother's friend and having MY OWN BAG OF SWEETS and not having to just have a couple of whatever was the family shared bag. |
