I hated giving up because it could have been great. Anyhow , night and p!ease vote wisely tomorrow x
I have voted. I am not sure wisdom came into it though. In my opinion there is an awful lot wrong with the EU but all the way through this I have been waiting to see the architects blueprints for Fortress UK and it hasn't materialised. Yeah I know the future looks bright outside Europe in the artist's impression but between that and Down down deederum down I only had my emotions to guide me. I am a trained project manager and I don't move an inch without terms of reference, a properly costed plan and a carefully worked out time line of job steps with responsibilities, dependancies, expected outcomes, risks and issues. If they want me to follow them to the promised land they are going to have to give me a proper map to bloody well get there! |

Yes I was dissappointed. I too thought it could be great - they should have let the BBC make it!

There's a huge amount wrong with the EU! And some on the remain side have been brave enough to voice that and say much needs changing if we do remain. Hopefully that would happen.....I have felt a lot of gut feelings to vote for out but also there have been many things to make me balk at that decision.....Nigel Farage for one......
![]() Anyhow I've done it now. Better the devil you know ![]() I haven't voted yet but what makes me so uneasy is why all the elite of the establishment with their hands in the trough are so keen to get me to vote remain.? I've asked this a lot and no one has given me an answer. I mean i can understand why Neil Kinnock, Glenys Kinnock and Stephen Kinnock all want me to vote remain because they would lose their hundreds of thousands of wages from their EU jobs but Cameron? He's lied about Turkey, he's lied about trade, he's lied about safety regarding the army (ex head of the armed services came out and said safer out) he's lied about pretty much everything. Why should i vote how he wants me to? Neither side have actually come up with any positives or truthful reasons for their side, the entire campaign has been about "they're liars" which ironically is true. I'm still deciding. |

BiB won't happen. Junker stated categorically there will be no more changes to what was agreed in February.

This is why I dithered until the last moment. Never have I had such a wrestle with myself over a vote. Both sides have lied blatantly and used propaganda to sway the masses without shame. It's brought out the very worst in us all I fear. I think the result will be very close, so half the country is going to be disappointed either way.
Having worked for associated press for years where I had to write and present news without bias, (the bias comes later when other news organisations add their editorial) just the facts, I find I tend to question untruths whoever is saying them. I've always been more interested in trying to find out what actually happened rather than spinning a news story to protect someone from looking bad. I temped briefly for a news station funded by the government when Blair was Prime Minister and it was like something out of 1984, try covering John Prescott punching a protester when you "mustn't show the government in a bad light". Reading threads and comments on news articles seeing people throwing insults at others who just disagree with them, is rather sad. I think less of the people I have seen doing it. I'm not so sure it will be close, i think it will be remain. |

It's been a right old fight to try and find any facts or truths; the mainstream media has been very remiss. I've had to really search to find accurate information. Most people won't do that they will rely on main stream media and they have been let down with meaningless rhetoric and scaremongering. It's been a disgrace and my cynicism is at an all time high.

I am sure it will be remain...but I think it may well end up being a close run thing. Most of us realise nearly all the media is biased one way or another and finding the truth of any situation is hard. So many people get protected, things get distorted or are even not reported at all.
Most people don't have time to investigate things thoroughly, life is busy, and hard enough without fitting being an investigative journalist into your day. I just want to know what the motivation is, if it's just money then shame on all of them. |

I'm not so sure it will be close, i think it will be remain. For remain - the facts are things stay as they are which isn't really a platform on which you can ignite the populous. They don't really know what will happen if we leave. For leave I don't think they have a blessed clue what the future will be out of the EU, just a faith (and I am prepared to accept and honestly held belief) that things will be better. But they don't really know how it will be better or what steps we have to take post exit to make sure it is better. Essentially both sides are selling words which come from little more than a gut feeling. Thats my conclusion anyway. |
