I didn't, but can imagine the shambles But at least we'll have a bash at singing it. The pronunciation will be dire, it will be yelled tunelessly, but we mean well

Oh l;ook what the wind blew in.

Had an exchange of PMs with P earlier, We were both trying to watch football out of solidarity. I lasted until about 2 minutes after kick off. She impressively managed the whole of the first half until I distracted her by telling her that King Henry II was haveing a red hot poker poked up his jacksey on Yesterday.

What is the cat/cucumber thing all about ?

I have eaten nothing but rubbish today. I am normally a really healthy eater who has a plant based diet pretty well every day. But today went a bit haywire.

I treated myself to a bacon butty for breakfast. Lunch wasn't too bad - home made vegtable soup and a whole meal pitta. But then it went down hill and I had FOUR crumpets.

I didn't plan to The plan was to have one and then have the dinner I was planning which was rataouille and baked potato with broccolli. But I had the crumpet and a slice of chocolate roulade. Then another crumpet. Then I wondered what the crumpet would be like with cheese on. Very nice it turns out, so dinner became two more crumpets with cheese and another slice of chocolate roulade.

Then anothe rslice of roulade which had become a bit cloying and I needed something fresh to balance it. So obviously I had to have a mince pie ( od as Dave would have said a mice pie)

Not a good day nutritionally speaking.

You have spotted there are two Bareny threads in GD haven't you DM? I think your rubble joke woudl go down very well. You could hook it onto the report about the tower that blew down at Fort Dunlop (Shopping Centre off the M6 in Birmingham)

People like you more. Everyone thinks you are cute. They think I am a bearded pompous university lecturer. They think you are a cartoon character - expect Dave the Sensible who though you were his dad/

I had no idea cats were scared of cucumbers but I do know they don't like orange peel, it is used as a deterrent if you have neighbouring cats using your garden as their own private loo.

I last saw planets earlier this evening in a GD thread when DS went weird again, she was "Going to ride James (J) like a bucking bronco, " wtte

mmm slice of lemony swiss roll for me .. it's never too late or too early for cake .. thanks tk.
