Ohhhhh we can do GOT together! You will love it
I hope you have a strong stomach Oh yes of course you have, you watch Vikings!!! ![]() I love fountain pens, and always used to use one. I have my Dad's one somewhere....must find! Ooh you're going to be famous! Do tell us in plenty of time so we can watch ![]() ![]() I am going to get some of the magnesium spray. My foot problem that I had got rid of for eight whole blissful months is back with a vengeance and I can barely hobble at the moment. Hopefully this may help! Dig out your dad's pen Twassthey are a joy to use, before using run warm water through it for a while to dissolve any old ink that may be blocking the flow! My brother was told about the magnesium spray by his oldest friend, who, when younger, had had his foot totally crushed and as he got older he got more and more problems with it. It got to the stage where when he woke up he couldn't walk. He now sprays and massages it in every morning when he wakes up and he is good to go! I'll be really interested if you have success with it. |

So hoping very much for improvement with the magnesium spray I got some tablets as well as I thought, a two pronged approach!! ![]() I used to write letters from Santa in ink using dad's old pen when my kids were small. They kept them, they will be somewhere in my ex husband's house I guess. |

Hello all, hope you're all well. Just had a roast beef dinner, cheated because just the two of us, sliced beef from our local deli/restaurant with loads of buttery mash, peas and gravy.
Fascinated with magnesium chloride stuff planets, when my feet are driving me mad after a hard day I swear by a footbath of Epsom salts, magnesium sulphate, are they close? Fingers crossed for good weather tomorrow, if so I'm having a day out! |

I'm always willing to try out things to help it. I did a bad tendon injury when I was 21 and have sprained it constantly since then due to the weakness I was left with. Unfortunately turned the foot over last weekend on a tussocky bit of grass when out with my son and DIL and it's got progressively worse all week until now I can just about hop about with a stick

(there's a proper word for it but my brain has died )You can also take too much if you ingest it whereas you can't OD or do any damage if you apply it topically in the oil or have a foot soak. ETA i remembered the word for the bad drug interactions!!!! it's contraindicated! Quote:

Fingers crossed for good weather tomorrow, if so I'm having a day out! I've had a wee scan of google and the main differences i can see that epsom salts are rapidly excreted through the kidneys which means it doesn't have as long lasting effect. Chloride also helps you absorb Vitamin B12 better (weird!!) there was a lot of complicated sciency stuff about the different molecules interacting with cell membranes..."In September 2005, J. Durlach and co-authors demonstrated that magnesium chloride has considerably better pharmacological properties including its absorption and cell membrane penetration, and also possesses less cell toxicity than commonly used magnesium sulfate." i did see epsom salts are used to treat pre-eclampsia which was ![]() Magnesium chloride is also used in fireproofing wood so we will all be fireproof ![]() It's interesting stuff if you can't sleep have a google i've been stunned by what i've read, i'd have been using it for years if i'd known! |

Afternoon planets!! It is all very interesting, and I will make sure I am ok to take magnesium.
Son and DIL are taking me to the walk in centre at the local hospital later to see if I can filch some crutches and hopefully they may do an x ray and give me painkillers! I decided it was pointless making a GP appointment, waiting a week for it only to be told to go for an x ray. Besides I can barely walk and that needs sorting out!!

Well, back and thankfully no stress fracture or other bone issue. Thought to be tendonitis which should sort itself out with sufficient rest. I am not good at resting. Plus I live alone so I have to do everything meself. Son is threatening to make me live at his house LOL

*dons very large lead lined apron and hard hat* gosh the radiation in here would knock a horse over.
Hope you two are ok, flipping heck, we need an ambulance on standby! Back from a lovely day out, at an agricultural show we go to every year. Set on 200 acres, with pedigree cattle and sheep shows, show jumping, sheepdog trials, vintage cars and tractors and huge cabbages and onions, fab baking tent (smells delicious) etc etc. Then fish and chips on the way home. Couldn't ask for anything more. |

Yes, get him to give you an early present!!
What was the x ray for...to rule out stuff? about ten days ago i woke up with a massive lump in my neck the size of a golf ball (my dad died of throat cancer)The doc did a blood test for glandular fever which came back as "you don't have it" so he just sent me for an x ray whilst organising an ENT referral. (i'm hoping it's a gland that will just go away on it's own) it's probably just another weird side effect of all the shit that went wrong when i had my op!!!! Quote:

Well really i just had the one thing wrong with me - my bowel perforated. But then the hospital did the wrong operation, pretended everything was fine, when i asked for a second opinion they withheld pain relief and food for 10 days i nearly died and all hell broke loose.

The last surgery i had i was in hospital for three months and it took 22 months for the wound to heal. Basically i'm f***ed. But hey ho. ETA oh and the surgeon who effed it up in the first place was quietly sacked eventually after killing loads of people and now lives in Amsterdam. |

Alas i tried making a complaint via the patient complaint/liaison service and the hospital refused to make any comment in writing. I was too ill to go to the meeting they proposed (being nearly dead at the time and being blue lighted into hospital every couple of weeks) and then they dragged it out until the time period for complaining had elapsed.

When you are finally back to decent health and able to organise such things, you should certainly look into getting your MP to take up your case or something. This sort of thing should not happen!! And who are they to issue deadlines as to when you can or can't complain? Even if the surgeon was quietly got rid of, the hospital are still culpable.

I just gave up in the end i didn't have enough energy to pursue it and reliving the horrendous things that happened over and over just made me iller. Luckily i was able to gt transferred to the Freeman in Newcastle wh seem to specialise in sorting out people other hospitals have effed up. The woman in the bed opposite me was given too much of something during surgery and all her toes dropped off so it could be worse!!!
Never heard of kefir i drink a lot of green tea though. Have a read! http://www.kefir.net/kefir-benefits/ I shall now take myself and my dodgy foot off to bed Sleep well all! xx

Hi planets, I'm kinda watching, but having enjoyed the civilian bb, I'm finding it hard going. An obnoxious cast in the main, have never seen Bear (ex on the beach), Lewis (towie), Marnie (Geordie shore), Chloe (x factor, now playmate after loads of surgery) or Heavy D/Boom/Colin (storage hunters???) before. Then you have James Whale, Biggins, Saira Khan (apprentice, loose women) Ricky (Fatboy EastEnders) Grant Bovey (Anthea Turner's ex) Katie Wassail (x factor) Renee (mob wives??) Aubrey (??) and Frankie (bb us), last three team US.
Phew. I've probably missed someone out but hey ho. I'm off out, got to catch the bank and do a shop. Any orders? Edit - forgot Sam Fox ![]() ![]() I shall rely on your good judgement regarding the shopping although Twass could probably do with some healing cake for her foot and i expect a blueberry muffin might heal my lumpy neck disease ![]()
