Ooh yes, I love the meteor showers! Once stayed out hours in the park watching lying on a bench

I had to google pyrexia as well, thought it might be something to do with casserole dishes

How is the lumpy neck? Has it gone down? It's not a goitre is it
i'm lucky cos i get this meteor shower every year on my birthday! so i always remember when it is!

lumpy neck is getting smaller i have a thingy (code) to book an appt with a consultant but see my gp on wednesday so thought i'd hang on and check to see if i could get away with not doing anything

the worry was my dad died of throat cancer, he woke up one morning with a lump in his neck then died shortly after i was a bit tense
i'm choosing to think everything is fine and it was just a random swollen gland.

In terms of bad luck I think you've had your share and most other folks share as well on top. Anything new wrong would just be outrageous!!!

Oooh! Are we allowed to know when this birthday is??? How lovely...so you will eat a bit of meat tomorrow and see what gives, if all is well to hell with everything and a big juicy steak it is on Friday? With chips, onion rings, grilled tomatoes, peas and all the bells and whistles?

If your Lidl is anything like mine there won't be many left

Inappropriately enough I now have this going through my head

Cor, properly GOING OUT! You could take your Louboutins in your handbag and slip them on at the table. Go on, you know you want to

You might get GOT on Friday then!

i'm keeping my fingers crossed for GOT but my brother is notorious for saying something like that and then totally forgetting about it
i'll let you know AS SOON AS IT ARRIVES*

How's your foot today? Have you been naughty and doing too much and not resting?

*even if i have to buy it myself

I've mostly rested up, but also done more if that makes sense, as it's not been as bad.

Yes, get it yourself if he doesn't come up with the goods!!! Just had daughter on the phone, she may be coming down this weekend. But we can watch next week

I'm so jealous, having a birthday in August. In January nobody can be arsed
The weather here is vile, high winds, heavy rain, cloud on the ground. Lamps on before 8 pm, certainly no chance of seeing meteor showers. If I wasn't off for my week of sunshine at the end of the month I would be raging.
Now start getting your bikinis ready, pack very light because I only have a cabin bag!

Some of those wishes might have come true? Every year the cloud is just too bad here.
Hehehe yes, a tiny bungalow on a rocky beach in Lanzarote.

Oh bless you Dorothy!
Honestly the holiday keeps me going, adore Lanzarote with its beautiful light and climate, so clean and safe. And some lovely grub!
Have to do the tax returns before we depart, so might not be around a lot. Keep packing those bikinis, I will come and collect you all x

awh thanks for asking!
Yes indeed, i have managed some aberdeen angus burger *drools* which was lovely it's so long since i've eaten it i wasn't hungry for the rest of the day and have only just had breakfast

pouring with rain again here but not blowing a gale. hoorah!
i put my alarm clock on for 8am to give me my three hours getting ready to leave the house time for my doctor's appointment and there was a power cut in the night and the clock reset back to midnight so didn't go off! i woke up with five minutes until i had to leave to get there
brushed my teeth and drove like the devil! Got there 1 minute before my appointment but because i hadn't drunk my litre of water my veins wouldn't work AND because i had eaten the forbidden cow i have to go back next week so we don't get false readings from the birthday steak how bloody complicated if i'd know it would cause so much hassle i would have a had a salad (not really that's a lie i can't wait to chow down on my steak )

how's your foot doing? is mini twass coming for the weekend?

Foot is still improving, I got about today with no stick at all! Herself is coming, yes indeedy

Oh that's so true! It's such a shame, because when we do get good weather, you couldn't be in a more glorious place. Still, that's why we grow great grass and cattle
