Thanks tk just eating strawberries and melon after going to the garden and picking a massive bunch of sweetpeas!!! I went out in the garden at 2am to see if it was still cloudy and in about three minutes the clouds parted i saw two shooting stars and then the gap in the clouds closed! It felt like a present from the universe!!!

Am preparing myself for my steak

Wow you saw shooting stars!!!!!!!!!!! On the one night I would have liked my ageing bladder to wake me it failed to....so no star peeking for me. I know they are best after midnight but having woken at 5.30 as per norm I am usually ready for bed around 10.30-11 and go out like a light Must set alarm tonight!

Glad you like your cake! Here's a recording I made earlier

I know i couldn't believe it!! Not only was there a gap in the clouds but about 2 seconds after i looked up a huge one shot across the sky then about a minute later there was a another then the clouds closed in, it was kind of magical

When that started i thought it was you and Mini Twass having a singsong but it turned out to be the whole antarctic There's something unexpressible about penguins dancing like boybands superb!

Richard's been in many Olympics, this will be his last, he's 33 But yes they are very proud!! Kruse is the second name, I expect you will have seen him.

Foot is much improved, so we went to Herne Bay today to our favourite backstreet cafe for veggie foods. I walked there and back fine from the car park barely using the stick. I've come a long way baby

Totally enjoying our incredibly laid back Saturday thank you! What's everyone else been up to?

YES i have watched him!!!! He was unlucky not to get the bronze against Safin some of the decisions were well dodgy. He was well popular on the daily Olympic chat thread!!

Oh that's good news - don't over do it - but glad you got to go out and about and enjoy your time with miniTwass!

Am lazing about watching the olympics (two medals - gold and silver - in the rowing this morning!!) after my busy week, did the usual garden chores (my lace-cap hydrangea hasn't flowered for about 5 years! i thought it was dead but IT'S IN FLOWER!!! very exciting)

I've had three rose bushes I thought had had it bloom this year. Most exciting! I love it when stuff comes back. Crikey I hadn't thought about him being talked about in forums! Of course I have known him for years. He started fencing as a small boy. He plays bagpipes as well strangely enough for an Englishman!!
