I have copied and pasted this bit of (what will be) delightful news to my son's fb page. When he wakes he will be delighted but disappointed that he and his friends didn't patent their idea of "farting in a box .. then sniffing" yet instead got exclusion from school.
I hope you're proud Cazzie basiically he was the louis Pasteur of his genertion

We did really well despite the appalling weather! There are some cakes left.....*leaves plate of assorted cupcakes* So hopefully we raised about £400+ for the kitties.

Ooh a cupcake lovely, well done with the fundraising. Out all evening at an anniversary mass followed by tea and sandwiches and family chat. Might have a lie in tomorrow, night all.

I had a lie in, almost unheard of, I kipped until 8.45am This is not easy on a farm as tk would know....tractors and cows are my usual alarm clock

Mini twass has gone back to London, feeling a lot fitter than when she arrived thank goodness. Clearly the cure for all ills is lots of CAKE!

Hehe, I managed until 8! Then snuggled up with the radio and news.

Glad mini twass is feeling better, cake is definitely the answer for everything.

Serious connection probs here today, if I dip in and out that's why

Hi Peeps

I have been out most of the weekend and have just popped into wave and say hi. What have I missed? Do any of you watch Strictly? I didn't see any of it this weekend but reading the SCD baords it sounds as if there may have been a controversay. I mean a real one (as in a sharp intake of breath in the actual studio) not a DS one. Its hard to tell though because Peter Andre is involved and DS being DS have crowned hom this years devil incarnate so its hard to separate the fact from the bias.

Hi An, watched (recorded) Strictly this afternoon, after checking the spoiler very late last night. Have no particular liking for PA or Jamelia but it looked like a credible quickstep v a non existent jive, and judging by the results show the audience were not happy.

But I'm no judge.

That sounds like an objective take to me TK. I don't think we have ever seen discontent in the studio audience before - mind you it was Blackpool.

I watch Strictly too and also like Peter but as the dance off is supposed to be about the dance then Jamelia should have stayed. I did want Peter to stay as I prefer his overall performance throughout the show, whereas I find Jamelia difficult to warm to, very stompy in her dances and she also has a very screechy voice. I also can't seem to warm too Helen (I think that's her name from Call the Midwife) she is clearly a good dancer but I find if I record the show I will fast forward through her part .. I really don't know what it is.

Goly that was an early post for you Cazzie - or late depending I suppose. I associate you with the early morning ( best part of the day - allegedly - I wouldn't know) breakfast shift. Teh graveyard slot is supposed to be Planets, DM and I with Tk and Twass fading out at a still respectabel hour.

Right... pauses.. pauses some more... I think that is taking it a bit far don't you? Trying th e dog biscuits you handle every day is an act of curiosity. To go to the pet shop especially is somethig else entirely.

I was a naughty child. I was spanked a lot I'd be sent to the pet shop to get meat for our cat [it was sold in a block in those days] and curiosity would get the better of me while waiting for the cats meat to be cut.

Children don't seem to be sent on errands any more. I used to try and hide from my parents and the neighbours, all of whom constantly sent me and the kids I would play out with to the shops for fags, groceries, stamps, etc etc

It was the pink ones I always fancied. Such a surprise to find they weren't sweet or tasty in the slightest I was only about six or seven at the time, and thought all biskwits were......biskwitty....

Kids don't seem to do anything much nowadays. We used to run errands and had our duties in the house too. Kids these days seem to be chaufeured everywhere and seem to be cossetted in every other way too. Then they leave home, haven't a clue how to run a home and approach the work place like the world owes them a living.

An early post, as in I was up at that time. Of course I would rather be in the land of zzz's but life isn't that kind just now.

Twass - never tried dog biscuits but like you I was forever sent on messages. Where we lived there was an option of down hill or up, either way it was a long walk and I used to eat the end of a bloomer (fresh bread to those that don't know) then I would switch it round in the bag before I got home.

This is very true and seems a recent phenomenon. My kids are late twenties, early 30s and were brought up only a little softer than I was. Both could cook by the time they were sixteen and knew how to clean, do gardening, wash cars etc. Modern kids are being done no favours!!

I hope life settles for you, cazzie. It's been a year or two since I was in the sleepless night scenario....not fun

I'd have got a thick ear had I eaten the end of the bloomer, but I did beg for the "nob end" as soon as I'd delivered the loaf!
